Perplexed...

<div></div><div>I'll start of by saying that this post is more of a statement than anything.  I am a level 37 Swashbuckler on the Oggok server.  I am ranked number 88 (which most of you know means that I'm the 88th person to get to level 37) on the server.</div><div> </div><div>A close in-game friend of mine makes Adept III's for me and I was shocked when she told me that the three buffs that she made me were server discoveries.  Initially I was glad for her.  I told her congratulations and such, then later on I realized that it means that I'm the only one who attempted to get thier skills at a much higher skill.  Yes, some could have got masters, but clearly not 88 of them.  All of my skills are at Adept III, Master I, and Master II.  I would feel that I'm cheating my group if I had anything less.</div><div> </div><div>I am in no means a power player (I even have my combat experience disabled for over a month), a number cruncher, min-maxer, whatever you want to call it.  I just found it perplexing that I got those discoveries.</div><div> </div><div>The spells can be seen here (if interested)</div><div><a href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer_discovery.vm?characterId=112996112" target="_blank">http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer_discovery.vm?characterId=112996112</a></div><p>Message Edited by Klantic5 on <span class="date_text">02-04-2006</span><span class="time_text">12:18 PM</span></p>

Those are all new skills as of lu13- yes that was months ago, but most folks had out leveled them at that point. And alot of folks don't consider getting a3 or better until they are in the final tier, since you will out level the spells- if not shortly, then eventually.Additionally, Smirking defense is a low priority upgrade for swashbucklers- I can count the number of times I"ve used defensive stance on one hand, and all of those were on named mobs to make it easier on the healer since I was the tank.<div></div>

<div>Add to that before the combat upgrade there really wasn't much reason to upgrade past Adept1 as there was little difference in the upgrade.  I don't think I did my first adept3 till the 30's (money was tight back then and I preferred better gear and weapons over spell upgrades).  I know I didn't see a Master1 till the late 30's.  Since Splitpaw and the subsequent upgrades to dungeons and loot there now seems to be an abundance of Master1's and the gems needed for CA upgrades.</div><div> </div><div>T5 & T6 gems and Masters seem to be fairly common, you can bet I have all of the 40-50 abilities in Master1 and about half/half adept3/Master1 in the 50-60 CA's.</div>

<div>As said more than likely just new the spell lines but some spells are not commonly used ie def stance.  When xping i like playing tank occasionally in a 3-4man grp w/o a fighter or to give the fighter a break etc.   its fun and different. </div><div> </div><div> </div>

i personally didnt upgrade spells past adept 1 until i got to 50+ just seems like a waste of money to me, you can lvl so fast in this game you soon out grow them.<div></div>
