It's been a while, and things have changed, but I don't recall any good armor series of quests for the high thirties or early 40's. I have two or three suggestions:1: You've made it this far, you may as well go for it and get to 40 so you can use pristine t5 armor, and save up for the now (relativly)cheap ebon clusters for armor and weapons and get yourself a suit made of that. Same with rings(don't forget the imbue!)2: If you are using really old gear (20 or so levels lower than you of stuff that's easily replaced), see if you can get a group in runnyeye- the gear will be a little low for you prehaps, but legendary stuff drops often off of the nameds- I'm sure there is some chain armor in there somewhere.

3: Look at heritage quests and the ancient watcher ring quest in antonica (think that's the name- it's a good ring that you can use till you hit 50, with haste on it if you have no other haste items). You are close to the level to get the short sword of the yakeasha, a decent dual weild weapon. The earing from Haddens earing (fishbone earing) is useable unless you get a fabled drop until you get to t6. Theres no armor there to speak of, but you might be able to save money you would have spent elsewhere to use on good gear.

There's a couple of half decent pieces in feerott in the camp near the door. Tae Ew Mesh Cap, and the spaulders (think the chain one is the spaulders) of swamp knowledge, also an ear slot there too (Glowing bauble). Each npc there has a line of about 5 quests each, which vary from NPC to NPC (one has a lot of cataloguing including catalogue bouncer hurd at the last one, one is a lot of harvesting type quests, starts with standard tier 5 stuff then moves on to like feerrott orchids and diseased corpses and stuff.)

You might want to hit 40 before you take on the left eye of thule alone but.

Hmmm...have you checked the broker lately?

I have noticed quite a decrease in cost of player made armors recicently (on AB anyways) T4 normal chain can be picked up for a song and a dance.

Just send a letter to an armorer and ask what they would charge for normal imbued armor...I bet your supprised at how little they ask.

Just make sure to provide the extract...it's always a pain to get that stuff.

You can always check the statistics / images of crafted armor versus the dropped stuff. I'm an armorer and created this page. I keep it updated in the Armorer forums:Armorer Forum: http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=a7&message.id=4657

Site: http://www.pmw.org/eq2

Enjoy,

Message Edited by Klantic5 on 02-04-200612:19 PM

Having just zoomed through my 40s I can tell you ebon is a lot more expensive then the rare leather (at least on mistmoore). I could get leather for roughly 10g each and ebon for 90g.

If you arent soloing all the time or tanking a lot you might want to look into that route.

Also check which pieces give agi and str ... think there are 2 pieces that give neither those stats.

Also before you worry about any of your armor upgrade you weapons if your not used the t5 rare imbued or better your hurting yourself. Auto attack makes up a good deal of damage.

At level 38 I was poor, and wanted to save my money for cobalt, so I didn't want to buy ebon. I wore the woven thicket leather armour that drops of the lamias on the north... west? I think... beach in EL. Thery're solo, super easy to kill, and the armor drops fast, with nice stats. It's not chain, so... just don't get hit
