<P>tough choice just as they announce the next expansion due in a couple months.</P> <P>definates that I would look at</P> <P>1. Upgrade Weapons (cobalt weapons are well worth the expense)</P> <P>2. Upgrade Armor, but only if you solo, maybe get some indium stuff made to fill in, farming instances will get you a few nice pieces, especially in Poet's Palace</P> <P>3. Some CA's are really worth the upgrade, with the expansion coming, I would look at anything at 57+, if you only upgrade one skill to adept 3, I'd look at Lung Puncture, lvl 58 or Dazzling Steel, lvl 57</P>

Imbued Cobalt BP and Legs, or Imbued Indium if on a tight budget. Upgrade all other armor to handcrafted indium or better Upgrade all jewelry to handcrafted berrylium or better Maybe 1 Imbued Cobalt weapon, depends on whether you have prismatics etc. At the very least, 2 imbued indium weapons. Hurricane, Hail of Steel and Lung Puncture only come in adept versions. If you can't buy the adept 1, save the pearl for the adept 3. as me for advice in game <div></div>

No need for a horse at this point. Do the carpet quest and get your 40% run speed and you'll be all set.</P> <P>B. Armor is very important. At least upgrade your chest and leggings to pristine imbued cobalt. There are many treasured items that will be better than cobalt armor for your other slots, such as Bracers of the Tracker. Get the Vanadium Imbued Rings asap too, +22 Str and +22 Agi sure does help. As for your earring and bracers slot, you'll be fine with the Beryllium until you have more cash.</P> <P>C. Normally, it is good to dual wield 1 piercing and 1 slashing weapon with a proc. I suggest a Pristine Cobalt Imbued Dagger and a 1.2 Slashing of your choice (depends on how you want your weapon to look.) Of course if you prefer longer delay items that is your choice.</P> <P>D. Rather than waisting PP on high priced masters, either loot/harvest/buy pearls or vanadiums and have a Jeweler create some Adept IIIs. Rubies go for under 1PP on broker now, so upgrade ID to at least Adept III. Hail of Steel and Lung Puncture you also might want to upgrade to Adept III (When the time comes.) </P> <P>E. Buying cobalt can be pricey, there are alternatives to obtaining cobalt. You might loot one from a named or harvest one from a node. I personally harvest stone rares and trade them for the type of stone I need when I need to upgrade something before progressing. If you want to buy a cobalt, talk to the person selling them directly to try and make a good deal. Bartering with someone directly will help minimize costs.</P> <P>F. The expansion comes out Feb 21 (it could be pushed back.) My personal philosophy on upgrading while knowing the cap will be raised is to concentrate on upgrading the most important parts first then save some cash for later upgrades. You will find that instances such as Roost drop fabled items frequenty, some that you might need. If you win a fabled item, go ahead and equip it since your not paying for it.</P> <P>* Also take note that at level 54 you get to upgrade a new ability to Master II. I chose Pillage and it does well over 1k dmg most of the time for me. Take a look at the other CA Master II's and decide which one your going to upgrade early on. Use your pearl on your T6 weaver line (the self buff) (if that isn't upgraded to Master II from T5) or on a high damage attack such as the Flurry line.</P> <P>T6 will bring in lots of cash for you. You can make well over 1pp in a short amount of time just by adventuring and gathering vendor fodder. (Many "precious", "arcane", etc items go for over 10gp on vendor.)</P> <P>Hope this info helps.</P> <p>Message Edited by Atmosphear1993 on <span class=date_text>01-04-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:26 PM</span>

Personally, I'd use the pearl, keep the plat though. It's gonna be about a month and a half til T7 stuff come out, you'll have a jump on that. <div></div>

<div>Well, suddenly I no longer feel quite as "ghetto" as I did before <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>Pristine imbued Cobalt BP, leggings, & main-hand stabbing weapon ... ancient ebon shortsword for off-hand, because there weren't any imbued cobalt slashers available ... Pristine Cobalt forearm ... couple minor things. I look better, feel better, & fight better too, & I still have almost 2pp left <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>Thanx for the advice, all. Now that I'm finally over 50th level & finally have DoF, I've been getting into a LOT more groups lately, hitting Hidden Cache & Roost, just hit Living Tombs & Silent City yesterday ... hurrah. The loot is finally starting to flow nicely, along with the XP.</div><div> </div><div><img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

<div></div><div>If you don't have excessive amounts of money, don't buy Masters. They aren't cost effective. 1 Master versus 2-7 Adept III's is not a good bargain, and Swashbuckler isn't a class that solely hinges on one or two skills. Masters are nice and if you loot one, it is almost always a better idea to learn it then selling it, but if you have limited money then not a good idea.</div><div> </div><div>Imbued Cobalt weapons are vastly superior and should be purchased. One piercing and one slashing duel wield weapons is the best bet. Technically the lower delay weapons are more useful, but if you want something for looks then go for it, you won't be doing yourself too big of a disservice, better to be happy with your character then to stress over getting every minor ounce of damage. The procs on them are much higher than others.</div><div> </div><div>Get at least Berylium and Indium equipment in all the slots where you don't have something better. The mitigation and stat bonuses are good, and the cost isn't that big for that stuff, I was getting them for about 7-12g a piece for unimbued because I was just pulling them off the broker, which is usually a bit overpriced.</div><div> </div><div>I do a lot of soloing, so I try to get Cobalt armor, which has a very big mitigation bonus, in addition to all the other advantages.</div><div> </div><div>The advantage of legendary gear is that it can take you to level 70 just fine, and you won't have to upgrade it unless you find something much better or get legendary equipment made. However, it is more expensive then it would be to just upgrade to the next handcrafted equipment at the next level.</div><div> </div><div>Horse: Don't bother unless you have lots of money after upgrading everything.</div><div> </div><div>Skill Upgrades: Getting some Adept III's are good, but at a minimum you want to maintain Adept I (in most cases these seem cheaper than Apprentice IV at these levels, except for the rarer ones).</div><div> </div><div>Armor: At least Indium, good idea for Cobalt chest and legs due to better procs, mainly for soloing though. If you only group, not necessarily a big deal. If you had Ebon pieces, I wouldn't even bother upgrading unless you are getting Cobalt pieces, but anything else, including the Augmented armor (Legendary leather), should be upgraded to Indium. A lot of people on my server get Augmented armor because it is so cheap on my server, but at level 50 Indium gives the same stats and better mitigation and it worth the relatively cheap cost. Ebon is pretty much just as good as Indium.</div><div> </div><div>Weapons: Imbued Cobalt is definitely the first thing you should do with your money. The procs are amazing, not to mention a good deal more damage output.</div><div> </div><div>Jewelery: Berylium at least, unless you have something better. Don't get two imbued rings for the same stat, they don't stack, you don't want to find that out the hard way. STR and AGI are the way to go. You don't necessarily need to upgrade all jewelery every 10 levels. I didn't upgrade a level 20 bracelet until level 50 because before that I would have needed a legendary piece to replace it because it was that good. Just be mindful you don't replace a better old item with a less effective new one.</div>

best thing to doSAVE YOUR MONEYget all indium for a very cheap price, maybe even harvest your own indium.start harvesting now and sell everything you get for platwhen expansion pack hits you should have quite the plat to work with, get full imbued (t6 rare) left and right slot, and get full adept3'sbasically upgrading anything now is a huge waste<div></div>
