yeah so im level 50 equipped with 6 Pristine FOrged Ebon gears, all skills capped and im not a [FAAR-NERFED!]........BUTA [Removed for Content] SOLO CON BLUE FISH DESTROYED ME. THE AC RATING IS A LIE. I HAVE 7000AC AND THE FISH WAS HITTING ME FOR 300-500 damage each turn. Sorry for the caps but i was REALLY [Removed for Content] off when i saw ALL other classes take down this thing with ease but i couldnt do itnote:ive watched a mystic50, a wizard 49 and a monk50 all kill this same mob all while taking VERY VERY little damage. A mage...a priest...a fighter can all solo it but a scout cant. Sorry but im really upset that Swashbuckler got nerfed so hard. Its so frustrating not even being able to kill a blue solo marked mob and not to mention grey group conned mobs can now hit me hard and often. Grey grouped goblins in lavastorm kill me in a matter of seconds now, its totally ridiculous. I dont want to play this class anymore unless they do something about it. I worked so hard for 0-50 to get 200+ agility. The MAIN reason i chose swashbuckler was because i saw that they got taunts, and i saw they had lots of evasion/agility thus i ASSUMED later in the game Swashbuckler would be evasion tank. Boy was i wrong.i apologize for the flame but it seems every time i log onto my swashbuckler my toon is worse and worse. But then everytime i log onto my guardian i get better and better. And i dont even want to tell you how uber my wizard got. Im sure there are others out there who want their swashbucklers back, or at least a class that can solo anything. -desperate for his fun subclass to returnTehhu

Did you remember to attune all your gear?Scouts are not meant to be tanks, so its unfortunate that you developed the wrong idea of what you think you were going to become (an evasion tank), and the game is not designed for 'soloers'. So it seems your expectations were set too differently from reality.

Monks are meant to be tanks. As are all subclasses in the fighter archetype.

Foulgill is a 'tough' solo mob, I've seen him drop a lvl 50 coercer in about 15 seconds so maybe the mage you saw had his pet tank or something.Healers generally have no problem at all with solo mobs, which explains the mystic. Hard to die to solo mobs when your heals are ment to heal vs group mobs which hit quite a bit harder. As a 48 Inquis, I can say that Foulgill is the most challenging non 'heroic' or group mob currently in the game, at least that I have seen. He hits much harder than even level 49 solos despite being only 47. He hits me for 300 to 400 as well, and I use heavy armor.

<DIV>there must be something wrong with the new AC values</DIV> <DIV>I am normally 600-700 away from the MT-s ac and that with them using big big shields, and I still get hit alot more, i mean I was killing the Huuptic elder lvl 37^^ and friends on feerott beach for some quest with me being lvl 46 in good tier 5 gear, ac over 6k, and they got me down to red not to mention that not only the elder got hits in</DIV> <DIV>I mean thats a joke now, i was used to solo orange solo mobs, now I dont want to go near them</DIV>

<DIV>I can not solo ANY non-grey mobs. All of my equipment is Yellow or orange but my helmet (I should buy a new one i guess) I have the PGT and the SBD so my equipment is obviously pretty good. I use all the Dex and Defense buffs and don't use Risky Advance while soloing. Our AC needs to be improved. I should at least be able to take down a Blue or a Green.</DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=3>Guess I will see how things are at higher level but at L39 I can solo L35-37 mobs without to much trouble. Caster type mobs are becoming a serious pain though. Biggest trick for me seems to be using defensive skill at the start to avoid the mobs special attacks. Playing a halfling swashbuckler so my strategy is don't get hit because it hurts if you do. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV>I can solo white (level 46) mobs without any problem. You gotta spam heroic opps and do some mezzing. Also, you MUST have poison. It's pretty easy. In other words - what are you talkin' about?</DIV>

<DIV>Hmm,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I kinda feel your pain.  At level 35 now I will not solo anything above Blue Solo cons as it gets too hairy.  I don't use poisons nor do I mez during combat (for some reason it seems the mobs always turn with me when mezzed so whats the point).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Then again, a white solo con is an even match, or 50/50.  So I guess we are still in line with what we are supposed to do.  Im still kicking tail as much as I can <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  As far as the 'other' classes getting 'too' powerful, perhaps, I only play my Swash.  But, if its true they'll get balanced eventually.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now I will agree with you in that for all our AGI, it sure seems we cant get evade the path of a snail.</DIV>

<DIV>About the poisons..that's what I hear.  I just don't feel they fit my character.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>About the mez thing during combat, tried it out a few more times and it does work...dont know what i was before (probably not turning off auto-attack).  Thanks for the tip <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>At 28 soloing pretty much is greens only.  The lack of any poison beyond a grey con is what I think hurts a lot.  I keep hoping that when I finally get some better poisons it will help, but with the evasion changes I am not greatly optimistic.</DIV>

<DIV>For the Swashbuckler at 28, working towards getting the better poisons, I suggest, if you have access, traveling over to EL and Zek, and running through all the "visit location x" quests.   There are three Bootstrutter guides in each.  Additionally, if you go out and buy all the "History of ..." books, you can do these quests as well, earning some very decent experience in the process.  They require a bunch of running around, and judicious use of Escape and snoop/bootleg, but are well worth it for those times when you can't get a group together.  Additionally, the History of... quests give you a book that you can place in your house.  A few of those books end up in Everfrost or Feerot, though, so you might not be able to finish the third level of a couple.  But most end up in EL or Zek (or runnyeye/rivervale).  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Additionally, if you haven't already explored some of these areas, you can get some decent discovery exp out of them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Inkidoo</DIV> <DIV>31 Halasian Swashbuckler  </DIV> <DIV>Qeynos, Crushbone.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
