Did Echoes of Faydwer release any information about these dark elves that make their appearance in the Inny and Tunare prophet quests?

I hope we see more of these quests. Maybe as real quests that don't involve easy tactics to simulate an army, but historic 'flashback' quests. I enjoyed it./runs for cover

There is evidence of them having a connection to the Ebon Mask of Neriak and having a secret mission. Zannas of the Arm is a mob for a new HQ and has some notes from another Teir'Dal who fights in the War of Fay. You can find his notes written here.

This is pure speculation on my part.

I think that "The Arm" is a group within the Ebon Mask that is loyal to the Teir'Dal Queen, that she uses for her own purposes (her own little black ops). The sources elude me, but the queen planned to kill the king and prince during the War of Fay. While the resources of the King were spent in Faydwer, the queen kept those loyal to her back in Neriak in order to execute her plans. As you have seen in the quest, the assassins of the arm used the confusion of the battle of the cauldron to mask the Queen's assassination of the Prince. I know the necromancer guild "The Dead" was favored by the queen, while "The spurned", the rest of the mages were loyal to the King. I think the mages of "The Spurned" were sent to positions where they would be of little direct help the King or Prince, while the necromancers were placed where the Queen could use them to facilitate her own agenda.

When you read the book written by the Teir'Dal who killed King Tearis Thex, he is a specially trained assassin, trained in a secret area, and (obviously) given highly top secret tasks (such as the assassination of the King of the Koada'Dal). I think it is possible that he was an Assassin of the Arm, and that they are sort of like Neriak's elitie espionage and assassination squad. This is all speculation, though, so please don't take any of it as absolute.

I was reading through some books and came across something that sounds just like this mysterious group of assassins. In the book Dragoon Zytl - Blood Rank, there is this quote :Gmiz came to congratulate me for my victory. I ran my blade through his gut before his hand had fully lifted his assassin's dagger. Now, not only are his men without a leader, they will remain behind as the invasion begins. This sounds like it could be the same group that Zannas of the Arm is part of. The notes to him make reference to his group staying back in Neriak. I can't any other references to Gmiz and what his exact role was in Neriak. :smileysad:
