<DIV> <P>I am looking for any lore regarding the afterlife of Norrathians, specifically those that follow Innoruuk.<SPAN> </SPAN>I doubt there is anything “official” but if anyone is aware of anything even player-written, please let me know.</P> <P>Want to check before I go off and make something up to add to our guild’s religious doctrine.</P> <P>Thanks!</P> <P> </P></DIV>

<DIV>Hmm... Touchy subject. It's not really known just what happens to someone when they die.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There are many different possibilities of what happens regardless of your religion.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In EQlive, in the Plane of Justice, there were many NPC's who tell thier story that when they finally died, they were sent to the Plane of Justice to spend eternity waiting for the Tribunal to rend them a proper judgement for the crimes they commited.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Where-as for the most part, people who live fullfilling lives and were faithful to thier diety were often sent to the plane that diety inhabited, where they would live the rest of thier afterlives in thier god's desires.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I guess those who worship Cazic Thule felt that the greatest afterlife they could be granted would be to spend eternity in fear and torment or something.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On the other hand, there's the matter of the undead, who are usually created when thier bodies aren't allowed to rest in peace, so they are mentally trapped within thier own rotting corpses untill finally laid to rest.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There's not much that can be said about the afterlife since there's really not much known about it.</DIV>

<DIV>Not even the Ethernere is involved when it comes to the gods deciding what to do with the dead. It seems there isn't any rules when it comes down to that. For example, a Paladin who died while fighting the forces of hate will probably end up living eternity in the Plane of Hate as one of it's denizens or something. No rules set in stone, and thats why there's so little known.</DIV>

<DIV>Ah, even worse. So essentially the powers of darkness have that much more going for them- it's even more pointless to live a good life seeing as some random necromancer can [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] your soul to Hate forever regardless of your deeds. Fun!</DIV>

<DIV>no. It's completely unexplainable.</DIV>

<DIV>Aha. You could have just said the Power Of Whatever's Narratively Convenient rules the day. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<font color="#66ff00"><font size="2"><font face="Comic Sans MS">The Afterlife, Norrathian style! Ok your dead and out of revives and Rezzes, now what do you do? Well you could leave your body behind and wander as a noncoperial ghost, those who loose their bodies are more likely to take this option, that and those who want to converse with the living. Otherwise you just climb out of the grave and brush the soil off of you. Don't worry about that rotting flesh, give it a few years and it will rot away leaving nice clean bones. Unfortunatly after a while and being pounded upon by the living your bones will either disintergrate from age or be shattered to the point of uselessness. After that you usually end up a skeletal ghost. </font></font></font><div></div>

The Void will result in eternal madness. To stare upon it's alien laws of science is to go insane. 'tis a cruel fate indeed. I'm such a sadistic fanfic writer for making it the penalty for losing a fight in my latest story.
