<DIV>Just curious what the connection is with Erudites and the Doomwing Legion working together? The Dragonmarked Excarnets and others. Any idea?</DIV>

<DIV>I've seen one thread on this... although it is rather old:</DIV> <DIV><A href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=lore&message.id=11005&query.id=52505#M11005" target=_blank>http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=lore&message.id=11005&query.id=52505#M11005</A></DIV>

<DIV>From what I gather, the Quellithulians are just trying to find a way back to Odus. How they got up there is a mystery, but they figure that helping the droags out might return information that would help them return.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm not sure, since it's a hazy area of lore.</DIV>

<DIV>im not sure either but if it helps there is a quest called Stranded! that you get o nthe isle of aversion in barren sky after completeing the uest and returning to anarcist he teleports away saying he is returning to odus! so it seems to me that the groad are useing them with promises of returning to odus to research teleportation magic.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The only way to complete the quest is to kil lthe droag overlord at the end of the vaults zone, so that makes me think he had the final component and was keeping it fro mthe erudites.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also if you were the droag and you could manipulate 100s of erudites into creating spells for you, wouldnt you? To be able to teleport your entire army into the heart of qeynos would make for a short invasion.</DIV>

<DIV>Thanks for the responses. Of course being an Erudite Necromancer I can see how the magical might of Erudites would certainly benefit the Droags and the Doomwing and Kerfyrms Legion so I wanted to get some idea of what we're dealing with here. If Droags are definitely working on a Teleporter I think we're in for a big surprise in the upcoming expansions. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If Odus becomes accessible.. oh my. I'm pretty sure The Overlord is fully aware of the happening's in Vault of El'Arad. Would be interesting to see how this turns out.</DIV>

<P>Kinda pointing out what is already clear..</P> <P>Quellthulian seems to imply that the Erudites from Erudin (Ones who mostly followed Quellious) and the Erudites from Paineel (Who all followed Cazic Thule) have formed a sort of alliance in reguards to being in the Overrealm.</P>

There's a Kerran somewhere in EQ2 that will tell you the story of how the two faction set aside their differences and became one faction, the Quellithulians. They built a big citadel and performed some magical experiment that supposedly covered much of Odus in a thick mist. They came out looking like they do now.</P> <P>As for the OP, it's been rumored that the Quellithulians were promised something by Kerafyrm in return for them coming up with a way to teleport him somewhere... which may explain why he's gone MIA. That is unconfirmed, though... don't quote me on it :smileywink:</P><p>Message Edited by IrishWonder on <span class=date_text>09-13-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:43 AM</span>

<P>Yeah, the Quelithulians found their own way up there, and were actually responsible for getting us up there, too (the Gate Callers were the Magician guild in Erudin in EQ. They are also the ones who rebuilt the Ulteran Spires: spires we are using to get to the Overrealm). Since being there, the Erudites have flourished in many respects. El'Arad is an Erudite (though apparently not currently IN his vaults), and has acquired so many artifacts and information, that he had to build a Vault just to house it all. Also important to notice, is that an Erudite won the Mark of the Awakened before any of us did (he's the one who wrote all those books you have to read during the quest, and is one reason the quest starter is sore. Some Erudite completed the tasks, but he didn't). It wouldn't surprise me to find out that the Quelithulians are up there for as much as their own benefit as the Doomwing's. They have a lot in common. I'm sure the Erudites are near giddy over the amount of arcane knowledge the dragons have been sharing with them in order to complete their tasks. This might not be a hostage situation as much as it is looked at as an opportunity to stride forward in arcane advancements previously known only by wurmkind! As such, the Quelithulians would be ALL over it!</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>
