My apologies if this topic has been raised before (hard to believe it wouldn't be) - please point me to it if it has. I would love to see a compiled published book form of all the lore and stories of EQ - the history, the gods, the factions, the zones...even lore behind the class professions.   It'd be great to keep around to read outside the game for those of us who - while we like the forums - are here so much we need a break from 'em once and a while.   I just ordered Robert Marks' "Everquest Companion" & I'm hoping this will be a start (it seems to be more of an introduction to the game itself with some lore in it, from the description)... has there been any talk on another or one officially put out by SOE? Prima seems to be the publishing house for game guides, would this fall into the same type catagory? If I saw a book of this type on a store shelf I would nab it immediately... I love reading up on the lore but would love to see it in an organized book style format.  It'd great for many of us coming into the game post EQ1/EQOA, etc. who are just now learning the lore... it'd also be a great gift for ex-EQ players.

<DIV>I'm working on an unofficial one for EQlive, but it's a daunting task for three people...heh.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Otherwise the closest thing is the Maps of Myrist book - which is otherwise considered unofficial or non-canon because of its many contradictions.</DIV>

<DIV>Heh. We all wish a huge encylopedia of EQ and EQ2 lore was released, but Vhalen wouldn't like it much if he just released everything and didn't keep any mysteries. :p</DIV>
