<DIV>Not gonna bother with the pic..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyhow.. Hanif, the <Springview Healer> located in the west Nomad camp will likely play a part in the return of the lord of disease.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I haven't taken up his quest line, but I'm fairly certain that while it seems like he'll be helping the lepers he's stationed near, he'll actually be furthering his agenda in studying the strain of lepresy for the purposes of further experimentation.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That might seem unfounded for me to say, but here's my reasoning:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>    The ancient Springview Home that Hanif mentions has remained hidden from the face of Norrath for a millenium, as the Springview Home (aka Last Home) is a pocket plane, or pocket aspect of the Plane of Disease.  In EQOA, the Springview healers appeared during the spread of the Bertoxxulian plague, and gave quests that would seemingly lead to a cure. </DIV> <DIV>    Overnight, the Springview healers disappeared..  and with them many of the still living infected.  Searching led adventurers to the Dead Hills north of the tomb city of Envar where they would discover a portal and a wiry little gnome necromancer.   The gnome would instruct them that  a ritual would need to be performed with the undead hearts of 3 heralds of pestilence (forgot the names, sorry).  The heralds would be found and slain in the Salisilerean (a portion of the Unkempt woods), Tak 'Xiv (a woodelf ruin in far south RO), and near the Elephant Graveyard (between the Eastern face of the Rathe and the Serpent river).</DIV> <DIV>    With the ritual complete and the portal opened, the adventurers would wake to find themselves in Springview, a hospital that could only be described as Dr. Mengele's dream job.  It was here that many of the infected were taken, and further experimented upon.  It was here that the adventrurers would learn that the Springview healers were not trying to heal anyone.  It was here that the adventurers would slay the healers and the surgeons, their constructs and all manor of vile creature whilst working their way further up into the hospital.  Finally, it was in the last room that the adventurers would discover a portal into the greater Plane of Disease.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So.. if you skip the reading above:  Springview Healers in EQOA --> Bertox's servants --> Re-emergence now heralds Bertox's return and/or another plague.</DIV> <P> </P> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <P>Message Edited by Pyrrhx on <SPAN class=date_text>08-21-2006</SPAN><SPAN class=time_text>06:03 AM</SPAN></P> <P>Message Edited by Pyrrhx on <SPAN class=date_text>08-21-2006</SPAN> <SPAN class=time_text>06:39 AM</SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by Pyrrhx on <span class=date_text>08-21-2006</span> <span class=time_text>06:40 AM</span>

<div><blockquote><hr>Cusashorn wrote:<div>well if he's returning, he's gonna have to wait an expansion first.</div><hr></blockquote>What do you mean? Once Echoes of Faydwer comes out and the gods are reintroduced, the devs could add new deities anytime they wanted.  Doesnt necessarily mean that they will only add new gods in future expansions. That is interesting about the healers.  I didnt know that.</div>

<DIV>Yeah it's only right that the God of Disease would return sooner or later anyway. He's the 4th and final major Evil god, with Saryn and Terris Thule being the 5th and 6th of the evil gods, but significantly minor in comparison.</DIV>
