View Full Version : Do people in Maj'Dul/DoF have their own language?

<DIV><FONT color=#6633ff>I realize that no PC's can come from there, so the question is really moot except for roleplaying purposes.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#6633ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#6633ff>I've noticed that they are all human in Maj'Dul, and obviously speak common.  But do they have another language that they speak to each other?  If so, what would this language be called?</FONT></DIV>

"Barashar" means outsider or foreigner to the people of Maj'Dul.  Technically, it has a neutral connotation, but some of the dervish people use it in a derogatory way.

Such as also:Shair means "Poet", Shiir means "Poem", Safar means "travel", Safari means "traveller" (which is actually used opposite in most cases)

Sorry, forgot to add Persian influence, in various words/names used in this expansion (not just Arabic) However, this is no secret or no conspiracy that Isle of Ro created with that influence. Norrath has great examples of "what if" questions and that's what makes it more logical and beautiful.
