Other than some examinables that further proved Everling's connection to the Void, I didn't really have time to get too much lore in the zone. Was the first time in there, so we were taking it slow to make sure we got the hang of the zone. I ended up having to drop out early to get some sleep before work :smileyindifferent: So sadly, I missed any lore that might have been had at the very end. What confused me was the group of beings fighting in one of the sister's rooms. Their faction tags said "_____ of the Scarlet Witch," can't remember what the _____ was. Who's the Scarlet Witch?

Not sure why OR who they were fighting. We walked down into the room from the catwalks above, and they were fighting what looked to be a couple mobs with ghost graphics, so it very well could have been one of the sisters. They were all crowded around brawling one another, so between trying to figure out what was going on and whether or not we should jump in and help someone, we didn't have time to see who they were fighting before they killed the ghost mob and turned on us. After killing a few of them (they were all named single ups), one of them shouted "Quick, get us out of here!" and the group gated out from under us. We didn't see them again, atleast not before I had to leave the zone. The Scarlet Witch sounds familiar, I've heard it somewhere... can't remember who it is, or what he/she wants in Nektropos.

I just spent an hour scouring OLS. Lots of triangles, but no clues. Went all the way down to the vestibule with nothing new, though OLS does look different since last time I was in here, don't remember the swirling vortex tihngs in the ceiling.

After my breif excursion into this zone, I am in love! This place has Vhalen written all over it! I don't think the Shissar have any involvement other than being one of the first to possibly travel (albeit very breifly) to this plane/dimension, and from their limited encounter with it, thought it must be Ethernere, though Everling has since showed that it is the Realm of the Shadowed Men. The Shissar no doubt devised and used the Rune to draw power from this place, and the rune was probably used in the spell that summoned the Gray to Luclin.

I have not collected enough pages to read much of the book, but given hints and comments Vhalen has made on these forums, I believe the First Love book may be about one of Everling's wives. Of course, it could also be about some research, since his science seems to be his true love.

The Goddess of Betrayal, well, you have no doubt been in her shrine, before, and slayed the ghosts of her disciples and priests! The Goddess of Betrayal is none other than Ulkoruuk! Who's shrine depicts her standing above a man with a spear...in his back How she became a goddess, what her origins are, and all that other interesting information I am dying to get my hands on...is hopefully in the other book I have yet to collect enough pages in.

This zone is oozing with Lore, and I have no doubt that there is more clues and mysteries in this new zone than we will fully understand for quite sometime! Well done, EQ2 team!

In the book it says the ancient rune is "the first key to Ethernere". Is it related to what Zhen Mei talk about "Etched in stone, the first key from dawn shall be revealed."?

Her mother, would imply being a wife of Everling. We failed this on the first run because we didn't know what we were doing and spawned the whole room at once. I definately think this is doable if you're careful and place the movable dolls onto the bed. Maybe if her mother isn't angry it will open up the ability to find more information. That still leaves the mysterious band of thugs.... who are they, what do they want.

EoF is looking ever more interesting. Is it going to include a Dante-esque layered hell that raiders can travel through?I am sad I can't see the new Nek castle for myself though, or at least not for another 16 levels. I have the Everling idol (and have in fact made a fireplace that involves two of them - probably not wise lol) and I'm sad I can't go further with it.'Scarlet Witch' makes me think about Marvel comics and the character who recently rewrote the world (twice) to suit her psychosis. Obviously Marvel's Scarlet Witch can have nothing to do with EQ2s, but it certainly evokes the right atmosphere of major world-changing events occurring. I love all the hints and prognostications that are appearing in game currently, like the spiel the ghost in the new Knights of Marr based quest gave me yesterday about what's to come.
