<DIV>If they had one, the Universe would likely be their Mother.  But the Gods of Norrath don't generally have "fathers" and "mothers" in the conventional sense.  They are a fragment of the parent gods power.  And yes, all the Ro's spawn from Fennin or rather the Plane of Fire, but each and every one has a different sphere of influence.  Hence, why one might not wish to worship the Elemental God of Fire, but the more involved God of the Sun.</DIV> <P>edit: Sorry, one major clarification.  The Goddess Ayonae was created by the whim of Druzzil Ro.  However afaik the power Druzzil used still would have been the power given to her by Fennin.  Then again, perhaps once created, the Gods can take on a power/life of their own.  Now you've got me curious....</P><p>Message Edited by Jait on <span class=date_text>08-06-2006</span> <span class=time_text>07:56 PM</span>

<DIV>The gods don't procreate. They just use some of thier own power to create a new god if they see the need to make one.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fennin Ro is the God of Fire. He's an elemental god, not a god of Influence, which is why people don't worship him.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>He created Solusek Ro, God of the Sun</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Solusek Ro then created the Demi-God Druzzil Ro, Goddess of Magic</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Druzzil Ro had enough power to create the demi-god Ayonae Ro, God of Music and Art.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Cusashorn on <span class=date_text>08-06-2006</span> <span class=time_text>10:29 PM</span>

People don't worship Fennin Ro because the elemental gods, as a rule, never get involved in mortal affairs. They devote all their energy towards maintaining their element. As for the gods families, it works like this, from what I understand: gods aren't created in the same way as a human is (no sex); rather a god diverts a small amount of his power towards a different... ideal or concept, I suppose, than the one that they themselves represent, thus creating a new being to embody that idea. This creates a hierarchy; at the top is the Nameless, who is a force that exists outside of reality and created everything else. He created the elemental gods: Xegony, Fennin Ro, the Rathe, and the Triumverate. The elementals created the gods of influence and nature, these are the ones that mortals usually worship. They created the lesser gods and the demi-gods, who in turn created the lesser demi-gods.I don't know why the gods create family bonds with some of the gods they created and not others, but that seems to be the way it isWith thhe Ros, first is Fennin Ro, the Elemental God of Fire; he created his son, Solusek, God of the Sun, Flames, Power, etc. He created Druzil Ro, the Demi-Goddess of Magic (although I heard she has risen to full god-hood in EQlive). She created Ayonae Ro, the lesser Demi-Goddess of Music and the Arts

I always remember it as Fennin Ro and Druzzil Ro were husband and wife.

<div></div><font color="#ffffff" size="3">This was the original information on the Gods. However some of that has changed over the years.<span></span></font><div align="top"><b>Fennin Ro, The Tyrant of Fire </b></div>Fennin Ro is the being who rules the greater elemental Plane of Fire, from which he derives his title, the Tyrant of Fire. Fennin manifests himself as a large male humanoid with barbaric features including a beard of flame, glowing red eyes, pointed ears, and fangs. Although he has been known to be a fanatic in terms of preserving the element of fire, displaying a short temper toward that preservation and any who would dare to threaten it, Fennin Ro retains a strong influence on the wheel of Order and Discord.<span><div align="top"><b>Solusek Ro,  The Burning Prince</b></div>The Plane of Sun is ruled by Solusek Ro, the Burning Prince. His father, Fennin Ro is the Tyrant of Fire who rules the greater elemental Plane of Fire, from which the Plane of Sun derives its power. Solusek wears a suit of golden ringmail and a crown of flame and wields a spear of fire. He is allied with no one, enemies with no one. He has a friendly rivalry with Mithaniel Marr.</span><span><div align="top"><b>Druzzil Ro,  The Matron of the Art </b></div>Druzzil has white hair which is held back from her face by a massive platinum crown with a single white gem that blazes like a brilliant white star upon her brow. She is tall, youthful in appearance, with a resemblance to Erudite in skin and body structure. The Demi-Plane of Magic became the home of the goddess of magic. In its natural state, it is an infinitely expansive plane of perfect white and unblemished marble under a gray and featureless sky, though one would likely never glimpse her plane in such a state. Through the will of Druzzil Ro, her home takes the shape, form and features that reflect her current mood. Her plane is simply a canvas for her art.</span><span><div align="top"><b>Ayonae Ro,  The Maestra </b></div>Created at the whim of the demi-goddess Druzzil Ro for the purpose of creating music to soothe the soul, Ayonae Ro grew to develop powers and a distinct personality of her own. Druzzil sacrificed a small portion of her own place to create a new realm to be dominated by Ayonae Ro, the Demi-Plane of Music. Ayonae can not only cause others to become caught up in her music to the point of feeling the emotions therein, she is able to mold and shape the very realm in which she lives, much as her mother does with her own magical skills.</span><div></div>

Wonder if Druzzil Ro looks like an EQ2 Erudite now?<div></div>

In the Plane of Time she took on the appearance of a female human.I doubt we'll actually get to <i>see</i> any of the gods in EoF, though.<div></div>

All comes down to the fact that gods aren't born, but created by another god.<div></div>

Erollisi roamed the lands of Norrath and was impregnated by the half of the spirit of Mithanial Marr while she was in the hospitality of the High Elves, where she soon gave birth to the first Barbarians. No sex involved, just the creation of a race by two gods.</P>

<DIV>Somewhat off topic of the Ro family tree, but it is alluded that gods can be simply created into being without the intervention of an outside divinity.  The only written instance of this happening was the "creation" of the Plaguebringer, Bertoxullous.  Can't remember the name of the volumes, but more or less the story goes something like this:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There was an ancient and somewhat evil race of beings that rivaled the dragons and infact used the remains of these hunted creatures as the building blocks for their society, literally.  Imagine elaborate castles, citadels, and ceremonial burial chambers constructed of dragon bones, hides, and sinew.  Within one of these burial chambers the bodies of the kings of this ancient race were laid to rest, their rotting bodies tended to by priests and holymen of the society.  Over time, as the bodies filled this rotten organic structure the fetid cesspool or the decaying evil kings gave birth to a new being, an embodiment of disease and decay.  This is the creation story of the Plaguebringer, whether this took place on Norrath or not is not written, but one thing is certain, after his arrival and the enlistment of the high priest and holymen of this society the entire civilization fell under the plague of Bertoxullous and was wiped clean from the lands.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There are other bits and pieces of lore or dev speech that would also lead one to believe that many of the gods are actually created more from their sphere of influence than by the divine intervention of another god.  It is further alluded that perhaps it is not the gods that create their planes or power, but rather the planes of power that create the gods.  I could see many dieties that could fall into this category: Innoruuk, Cazic, Tunare, Quellious, Karana, Rallos, Prexus, etc.  Whose to say that couldn't even apply to the elemental gods? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Food for thought at least</DIV>
