In my earlier playing days, when my main was still a lowbie running around in the Commonlands, my guildies and I would occasionally run into the drakota named Ladon.  My newbie excitement was not only made up of my participation in a few successful slayings of the epic monster, but also of the sheer spectacle and surprise of seeing such a unique creature in a place that consisted of rhinos, elephants, and filthy vulriches.  I know that Ladon also has a similar counterpart in Antonica named Anguis. As game progression would have it, I moved on to fight bigger and more magnificent foes far away from the Commonlands in the far corners of Norrath.  The difference is that each one of thes subsequent creatures seemed to fit in their environments.  Ladon and Anguis just seem to come out of nowhere and were somewhat unique in that respect.  I do not know if Ladon or Anguis still occasionally choose to visit there respective locations in the Commonlands or Antonica, as I have not been back in a while.I was wondering if anyone knew the history and lore behind Ladon and Anguis and why they choose to occassionally terrorize the adventurers of the Commandlands and Antonica?<div></div>

<P>All we have are the bits of lore <A href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/news_archive.vm?section=Development&month=122004&id=300&direction=back" target=_blank>here</A> and <A href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/news_archive.vm?section=Development&month=012005&id=301&direction=back" target=_blank>here</A>.</P> <P>Essentially they're young outcasts from Drakota society.</P>

<DIV>This is my own observation and opinion, but to me it's like the usage of the drakota is somewhat foreshadowing of the events that take place in the prismatic series.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. At the beginning, the Far Journey get's attacked by a drakota while you are on the way to the Isle of Refuge (which is where you come full circle at the end to confront Darathar).</DIV> <DIV>2. One of the drakota needed for the prismatic series is in Fallen Gate (in that special instance of Vault of the Fallen), not far from where Ladon likes to hang out.</DIV> <DIV>3. Anguis, if I'm not mistaken, likes to hang around the area not far from the Tower of Oracles, where the Sage of Ages can be found as well.</DIV>

Because Cush killed them once, so of course they should be dead forever<img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>
