<DIV>Well I can tell you the history and lore that I know of but it comes from the controversial side known as EverQuest Online Adventures or EQOA which supposedly takes place 500 years before EQ1. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Halas was indeed the city of the mighty barbarians residing to the far North of the continent before the shattering.  It was here in Halas that the barbarians developed themselves having three distinct classes among themselves as I saw it.  Barbarians were noted at being great fighters so they had the Warrior class which was very strong.  They also practiced the occult style of medicine so they were also shamans.  Then they delved into the dark areas having rogues as a small side of it all.  Unfortunately I cannot remember the great ruler of halas itself but he was a mighty one if I remember correctly.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now as for permafrost it was back in the time of EQOA that the area known as Permafrost is not as it was right now.  It was an open area with a great white castle where the dragon known as Lady Vox resided.  I also believe there was another castle near permafrost that served as a human outpost for people of much more evil intent to train when they reached their "50th Season" as it were.  A strange thing to note is that the inhabitants of todays permafrost are much like those in EQOA.  You had the ice style goblins known as the ice gills and the mighty Ice Giants. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Its not much in the way of lore nor history but its a start atleast. :smileywink:</DIV>

<P>Permafrost is a castle that once belonged to the giants of Rallos Zek and Everfrost was a place of grassland sort of like Antonica. After Rallos Zek's creations stormed the Plane of Earth and the cursing that occured afterwards the two places changed forever.</P> <P>Everfrost was frozen and any of the giants, orcs or goblins in the area turned to ice to their core. Permafrost and Everfrost became ruins.</P>
