Not sure if this is at all the right place for this request, but does anyone else find the amount of space we get to write a biography ridiculously small? Why there's a limit to it anyway i can't imagine, but can't we get a bit more space to write about the most important characters? Ourselves and our own lore?

Yep, that's what the Travelers Tales board is for.

If you're expecting your characters to actually make an impact and become an official part of Norrath lore, I'm afraid it doesn't quite work that way. Just build out whatever story you want to build.

In truth, it can't actually work that way. Too many people telling too many stories, some well founded in lore, others less so, it would be total lore anarchy!

What players real want I believe, is a way to feel that their actions impact on the evolution of the gamein some way. This can be accomodated somewhat, by participation in world events (which are the only real dynamic changes that occur)

Helping to find clues for the cure to the plague, helping to build the new griffon towers etc. are about the only ways that players get to participate actively in the story line.

Well my sig points to my own character's tale in detail and his thoughts up to this point (its told as if the events have already happened and you are reading a journal.. course each page is being written now but when one has picked up the journal they have long occured).I have actually created my own lore but only in terms of an aspect of EQ lore that I doubt the SOE devs will 'ever' touch and thus doesn't harm anyone. Since my character is a defiler, it has to do with the spiritworld and how the defiler may actual perform his dark mysticism - specifically what the spritworld may look like, how one transcends into it (defilers can turn into wraith form and can also turn into spirit hawks in game etc, the latter which has directly connected to the lore with the idea that one must turn into a spirit form and transcend through a specific mystic imbued portal to enter the spirit world). There isnt much detail on what lies in the spirit world for someone that travels there but just some tales on what one may observe there etc. There were some legendary tales written in the journal - of mystics and defilers that had travelled into the spiritworld and had carved sections for themselves which they lived/ruled within etc... but as I said, clearly its not official lore, its something I created for my character knowing that it is unlikely any information would come to the contrary nor would anyone care to dispute this point which probably isnt in the forefront of peoples lore thoughts
