Owlbears in Nektulos Forest? There has to be some sort of purpose they are there.. how they got there. In EQlive I slaughtered countless owlbears on Luclin for tradeskill reasons but never once did I see an owlbear pre SoL.I would think the Devs would have had a purpose in putting them there. Any ideas? And parachutes i'm sure weren't used during the near destruction of Luclin.I was an avid trade skill farm boy /shrug .. boy how I miss my Whirlwind disc /snicker<img src="http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/4710/image0759dx.jpg"><div></div>

The explanation that I've heard for this from Dev's in the past is that Owlbears have existed on Norrath before they were brought to Luclin; the question being not how the owlbears got to Norrath, but how the Owlbears went to Luclin. Only part of the map was explorable in EQ1, and it's more than likely they've added more than was previously visable there. I assume the Owlbears were brought to Luclin by either the Combine or the explorers that followed after. <div></div>

<DIV>The only other explanation would be that adventurers captured or took baby owlbears and brought them down to Norrath for captivity or whatever.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My theory is that they brought them to norrath for Captivity in zoos and such, but they managed to escape into the wild and repopulated with time.</DIV>
