<DIV>I remeber in Lavastorm and In Sol A there were drakes in eq1... I havent seen any drakes now, just the drakota... are the drakota evolved from drakes? are there any drake populations in the wild anywhere in eq2? am i just not seeing them or is my brain so damaged that i have forgotten them?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Actually, most of the "drakota" you see are indeed drakes, but they use the same model as the drakota. The only true drakota in the world I believe are found in the Fire and Ice/Deception series of quests. Maybe Anguis and Ladon as well.<div></div>

Tons of them in Lavastorm too.</P>

<DIV>They also didn't have any wurm models so they gave them dragon models, which is why Lord Xyfl appears to be a dragon.</DIV>

The reason why those mobs, especially Lord Xifl, arn't wurms, is because they aren't, and he said it didn't really matter.

Yes, the drakes of EQ2 look like drakota, and wurms are also in the game, though they look sort of like spikey lizards, and not so much like dragons without wings.  Both of them can be found in Tenebrous Tangle on the Breeding Grounds island.

Maybe they'll update and create a Drake and wurm model. I miss the little drakes from EQ1 as well, and actually thought that the 'drakes' around norath in EQ2 were actaully Drakota but missnamed. (using the same model for very diferent mobs is very confusing)*aside - I also hope thy put imps back in. I loved those little guys*<div></div>

<P>The 4 drakota's from Fire&Ice/Deception where actual drakota's, there were 2 or so on Darathar's Isle. There are 4 or 5 in the hardest area in SoS (where Ceydranos? is). The final few can be found swarming around Harla'Dar. The 2 in Antonica/Commonlands (Anguis / Ladon) are also real drakota's. Recently a dev responded to the issue of the L&L not updating correctly on some of them, but that was changed and he made a list of the actual drakota's still alive. (Which are the ones I just listed)</P>

<DIV>actually there are something of 30-40 Drakotas found on Darathar's Island.</DIV>
