I remember when Slulaif was a little rattie within the Commonlands. I do remember attacking the Nomads often. In some voice over, I'm not sure if I'm thinking of somthing else, but I believe they said somthign about "The One Mother"Who is this "The One Mother" ? Just a curious ratonga here...<div></div>

<DIV>Hrmm... good question. I don't remember anything about the lore of the nomads, or why there were groups of humans living out in the Commonlands (always seemed to me that Lucan would want them under his control in the city). I betrayed early in the game, so I don't remember much from my hunts in the Commonlands at all.</DIV> <DIV>I do, however, remember that the Nomads had a "leader" figure in one of the camps who was female. She's the one that was involved in the Zarvonn's Tower access quest. Perhaps they call her the Mother? Or, perhaps those clans follow Tunare, and they're referencing her as the Mother?</DIV> <DIV>Gonna have to go own some nomads now and see what that's all about :smileyvery-happy:</DIV>

Could be Tunare, as I believe worship of her wouldn't be too unusualy for Nomads, especially any with any great respect for the land, but I have never heard of her referred to as "The One Mother." Very interesting.<div></div>

I have no idea... I really don't know humans for really worshiping Tunare. <div></div>

Typically she is called "Mother of All"  so "The One Mother" would be fitting..<div></div>

<DIV>Human druids and rangers in EQlive worshiped Karana, but there was nothing saying they couldn't worship Tunare.</DIV>

<P>In EQ, humans could worship both Tunare and Karana, but they both started in Surefall, so it didn't really matter (except for racial armor)</P> <P>The people who live in the Crossroads, and, I suppose, possibly the nomad camps to a lesser degree, are people who are actually too poor to live in Freeport.  Apparently Lucan's not handing out free homes to everyone. (can hear about this from the tome you are given when you complete a quest series in the newbie yards, as well as an NPC who gives you a quest to go check out the Crossroads).</P> <P>In EQ, nomads and gypsies were remnants of the Combine Empire, and some lived in the Karanas, Oasis of Marr, as well as a few other places, though I don't recall any in the Commonlands (though that doesn't mean they weren't there).  Given the tumultuous events of recent times, it would be no surprise that these nomads might move closer to the cities of refuge, although I find that, for nomads, they sure don't move around much.</P> <P>As to who this Mother is?  Could be almost anyone, from Tunare, to a matriarch of their clan, who knows, maybe its Madam Vi?</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

Don't forget that though Human Rangers and Druids started in SFG (Now with Banking in EQLive!), there was a ranger/druid outpost in the Commonlands. No trainers, or anything but they did maintain an altar of sorts on the top of a hill in East Commonlands, between Inn3 and the Hidden Inn IIRC.<div></div>

The Marr Twins were essentially the creators of the Barbarians, AND their influence "enlightened" some of those to become Humans... so while the Tunare principal is perfectly plausable, I wouldn't discount Erollisi Marr either, as she is "more directly" their mother than Tunare is (kind of).Though the less we think about the mother/father roles, and the Marr Twins, the better off we'll be. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
