<DIV>I know this dips a bit into EQ1, but I was wondering the details of Firiona Vie's capture and release from Vernil's minions, namely if Firiona Vie's rescuers ever found out that it wasnt Cabalis that took FV but Vernil Sathir and if they ever said "We're sorry for being [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] lighties" to the Cabalis Empire?</DIV>

I have been researching this as well. Here is what I have found so far (not a great deal unfortunately) =========================== There is lore about Firiona out there - she was withering away in her Felwithe tower when the Rallosian Army came'a'knockin'. Evindetly, after Tunare pulled back from the mortal realm, Firiona's power began the dwindle and her father hid her Paladin gear away in the castle. A mysterious, cloaked figure visited her one evening with news - news that gave her back her spark - and off she went. OOC: According to what I understand, until the war of Lanys T`Vyll, there had been no word from Firiona, hence why the wars with the elves raged on. There were a few GM events that took place, I believe, where Firiona was supposedly rescued. But I don't think there was any written lore to put back-bone to this fact. It came as a suprise to me when they announced that.. she had been sitting in Felwithe all along. :smileyindifferent: , completely invalidating the reason the wars took place upon Kunark for the length that they did <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> But no, the elves never formally apologized to the Empire of Cabilis :p <div></div>

We won't know if it does or does not apply until a dev tells us one way or another. Although I am getting tired of this debate, just because something happened after PoP, doesn't mean it didn't happen, it just means that we don't know if it happened, since the devs can choose to use it. Since Vhalen was one of the devs who worked on the lore for EQ, they may still have used some of the plans he was a part of, and even if he had no part in some of the lore developments, the dev team might decide that they like how EQ's team did a certain event, and say that it did happen. To put it simply, EQ2 devs have the power to pick and choose which lore happened and which lore didn't happen, if it occurred in EQ after PoP. Personally, I think they'll let EQ do to FV whatever they want, as long as it doesn't drastically effect known events in EQ2. What we do know for certain, is that, for one reason or another, Princess Firiona Vie did NOT become queen when her father died in the War of the Fay. Instead, Princess, now Queen Lenya Thex did. This is known from the eye witness account of an NPC in Willow Wood. Now, I have a whole bunch of questions about Lenya (like why the hell was she a fish), but that has nothing to do with the OP <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
