<DIV>I never played EQ on the computer before this one so I don't know a lot about the first EQ. What I'm looking for is some stuff on Veeshan, I've never heard of anyone raiding it on the web and I've never really seen any pictures of her. Was she in the game as a killable mob or was she there only for lore purposes. Also are there any pictures of her anywhere?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

She is the ruler of the Plane of Sky, but because of her size, and her agenda perhaps, she has yet to appear in either timeline of Norrath in-game. Her scars, from which she sent her children, the dragons, into being is, or rather was located on the ice continent of Velious. These were known as the Scars of Velious, the inspiration for the expansion pack of the same name in EQ1. The only visual I've ever seen personally of her was way back in the classic Everquest 1. There was a movie that played before the game showing Veeshan making her mark, which is what also drew the other gods to Norrath.I am sure there is much more lore out there, but I hope this primer assists you in your studies.Safe journey!

<P>Veeshan was never an in-game character.  The only look at her came within the original opening movie to EQ (which someone posted a link to somewhere on these boards.  If I find it, I'll provide a link to it here.)</P> <P>Veeshan is the mother of all dragonkind.  She flies through the universe marking worlds(as well as presumably seeding them with dragons) that she deems worthy to host her kin.  The mark on the world is seen as a gigantic claw mark when viewed from the heavens, but as a series of canyons on the ground.  These canyons were found on the continent of Velious in EQ (which has yet to be rediscovered in EQ2).  She was also commonly attributed as the "diety" over the Plane of Sky in EQ, though she didn't appear there.  As an aside, as of Desert of Flames, we have seen the Plane of Sky has bled into Norrath.</P> <P>Now in Everquest, Veeshan is worshipable as a diety by Bards, but there was very little benefit for this worship (at least at the time I stopped playing when EQ2 came out.)  It remains to be seen if when Echoes of Faydwer comes out, if she'll be a worshipable "diety" in EQ2 as well.</P>

<DIV>Yeah she never appeared in the game because her body mass itself was the equivalent of what Antonica or Thundering Steppes is now.</DIV>

There's also the idea being passed around that she may just be omnipotent and omniscient, making a raid somewhat impossible. How else would she have the respect of Cazic-Thule, Innoruuk, and the Zeks?
