Qeynos Emblem

<div></div>I was heading to the castle and found something interesting...Above the gates is the EQ1 Qeynos Symbol. Is there any lore to the new symbol above it?<img src="http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/916/eq20000287be.jpg">It's broken into quarters. The lower left looks like the EQ1 symbol. The lower right one looks like the Ranger symbol from Surefall Glade/Jaggedpine. The top left and right looks like a sunrise or sunset. The middle looks like a sword. Any ideas on how/when/why this new icon was formed over the old one? Why the chosen icons?<div></div>

That talks about freeport stuff and about the old qeynos crest, not the one one on top that contains the old crest.<div></div>

<P><EM>This is just pure speculation</EM> - what I'm thinking, though, looking at the new crest:</P> <P>The lower half is Qeynos and Surefall, united after the city was rebuilt. The top half is a sunrise, symbolizing the "new dawn" of the rebuilt city. And the sword down the center is likely the Qeynos Claymore, the famous sword of the Bayle family and generally an icon of the city.</P> <P>Just my interpretation of the symbols, I'm sure someone else can probably add to this.</P>
