The City of Tanaan

<DIV>From what we know, the island of Mara was settled by the Whistling Fist clan. This was Master Zan Fi's refuge where his order would be based and grow. Though it was never closed off to outsiders, it was very much out of the way... hence the reason it has taken so long to stumble across it post-Shattering.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Wantia people moved to Mara after the Shattering destroyed their original island, and made friends with the Whistling Fists. Since in the past Zeb has been intimately tied to Tanaan and the Tanaanites, it would lead me to believe that the original Tanaan (which I don't think was ever uncovered in EQ1) is hidden on this island... probably in ruins (judging by the Tanaan ghosts running about).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now, putting all of this together, I'm going to say that Tanaan was destroyed (and with it Zeb's memory) by the gods, either directly or indirectly, because they were primarily responsible for the mortals flooding into the planes. If you do not want to see Fallen Dynasty lore ahead of time, don't click any threads that mention something about the Fallen Dynasty, or stop reading when you realize what it is. No one is twisting your arm... unless you're a completionist like myself and have to have a "0" under New Posts for every thread :smileyvery-happy:
