For Vhalen, EQ1/EQ2 rift date?

I have seen a lot of debate over this.. and for the races of norrath who do not reach maturity until their second century, this is very important to know to complete background stories.  Also I know many guilds who have tried to adapt their EQ1 background story to EQ2..  I am a lore master on Lucan D'lere.. I run the eqlore chat channel, where I teach popular lore lessons and host discussions and Q&A sessions.  I am also organizing a massive server-wide RP based on lore about Innoruuk and the early history of the Teir'dal.Vhalen, this ones for you... this is how I have come to understand what is and is not to be included in EQ2 lore:EQ1 pre-game lore...  everything is included.... beta lore that changed is ignored... but stuff that happened before the release of EQ1 is a part of EQ2 lore.EQOA lore... I have seen you post things in reference to EQOA lore, even though there are discrepencies... so my general rule of thumb is this:  If it contradicts in-game EQ2 lore directly... ignore it... if it dosn't... accept it...EQ PnP Lore:  I love it I embrace it I go crazy over it...  Unless I find something that is a direct contradiction to EQ2 in-game lore.. and not merely an NPC opinion or misinterpretation.. I consider all PnP lore to be the gospel and some of the best lore sources.Bonus lore:  This is what I call the little snippits you find in sources like the EQ2 Atlas, such as the details of the fall of neriak in the description of the fallen gate zone.Thats what I generally include when I am helping players in EQ2 write their background and create storylines that are lore accurate... heres our problem though.PoP release included the plane of time and zerby...   which gave the POTENTIAL for the rift between the universes.  But nowhere does it say that the second PoP was released.. the time was rifted.  In fact, there are things from expansion packs AFTER PoP that are referenced in EQ2.  So while it is clear that it happened some time after PoP was released?  When?  When lord when??IN EQ2, did the events of gates of discord happen?  will prophecy or ro lore be included in the history?  Did Firiona VIe fall to the teirdal like in the live event?  Thats a BIG one for us...  since its part of a major EQ2 guilds history on the lucan dlere server.. the guild on EQ1 by the same name with the same leaders participated in the event... so can they refer to it as their history in EQ2?  Please say yes, on with the glory of the Teir'dal.. even if they werent following Innoruuk at the time.Final question... there is a prophecy on my server fast spreading, that says that teir'dal are not meant to hate each other, based on what is written in the PnP supplement: Plane of Hate... where it talks about how Innoruuk was disapointed with the fact that the teir'dal were fighting each other instead of spreading hate to others...I realize many people will throw in their 2 cents and reference other posts.. and no offense to anyone.. but these questions are for the man... Two things I realize when I re-read my post...  I never actually asked my final question about the teirdal prophecy about not hating one another.. would you consider it accurate?  Does Innoruuk intend for his children to be above hate.. to be the masters of it and spread it, but not let it overcome them and turn them against one another?  That is how I interpret what happened in the supplemental.. and that is what the prophecy is based upon.. so I hope it is accurate, because a lot of RPers are really rallying to the idea already.Second thing.. yes.. I realize this is my first post.  Ive been reading the threads off and on for a long time, but mostly studying the lore independantly and through various library web sites set up to organize and catalog the lore.  Ive been playing EQ1 and EQ2 forever now.. though I no longer play EQ1.  Im a hardcore RPer and consider myself a patron to the RP on Lucan Dlere in my efforts to unite RPers in massive storylines based on the lore so we can all agree on the background for the RP.  You may be wondering why I never posted on here?  Thats simple...  god hates me.I mean it.. he hates me.. it is in the bible... I forget where.. but he doesI have been trying to register my email for the lore forums since EQ2 came out... and suddenly today, it finally works.  So be warned.. <DIV>As fair as I'm aware (as a lore n00b) the split occured during the Ungod (zeb) time travel incident where you go back to help him. I believe that Druzzil instagates the split. as far as which line we foloow we don't know that yet, nor do we know what happened to our friend Zebuxoruk. <P>Answering these questions to my full extent could open up a can of wyrms. I will tell you that I have assisted in the lore design of most, if not all, EverQuest projects. The information I give them is expanded upon by other project teams. So, being aware of much of the foundation of various EQ projects helps mold the Age of Destiny. Don't be surprised to see some similarities or contradictions. As for the timeline, we are aware of the moves that are taking place in the other timeline. Whether or not these have any influence to our timeline, I cannot say. As time goes on, we will see. <BR> <BR>As for the Teir'Dal, they work together to promote their hate of other nations, but they have had a great deal of hate between themselves. Houses have long been battling each other in secrecy or in ways other than a call to arms. From what I know, I think they are working together much better these days. Maybe we will see just how unified they now are... someday. </P> <P> </P>

Just so everyone knows, I am an in-game friend of Draxehn/Cuddlingwolf and a regular in his eqlore channel.  He is having trouble logging in and has gotten me to post this response for him. As we have all become experts at interpreting Vhalens cryptic messages.. here is my interpretation as it applies to the large scale RP forming around this teir'dal prophecy on our server. Yes... Teir'dal are meant to work together to spread hate.. but yes.. they have been fueding.. however.. they are working together better.. and one day the fueding may stop.  That is the actual purpose of the prophecy in our server... to unite the teir'dal.. end the fighting amongst ourselves.. and turn our hatred out towards others where it belongs.   As I see it, Vhalen is saying that the lore supports that.  This should be an interesting RP...  if you want to get in on it.. make a toon on Lucan D'lere and join channel eqlore    Also, there will be a post made on the Lucan Dlere server boards regarding the web site we are setting up for both the chat channel itself, and the lore-based RPs that will be hosted out of it.
