Reading up about some lore and I find this very interesting.. Has anyone else thought about the possibilities conspiracies withinThe lore of Norrath? Some things are told to us ingame by unreliable sources. In the Peacock club questline we learn of the Freethinkers, Two well known members of the "Freethinkers" are Fiddy Bobick, who knew all about the geography of Norrath ( I think), and Kyle Bayle, who is, well, dead in the catacombs.By being labelled "Freethinkers" does that mean you can zoom out and see the big picture about whats going on?Perhaps they know "Too" much about Norrath and its history.Too much according to who's standards? Who is running the big picture? The void dwellers we know as shadowed men and the beasts known as the Nightblood have some history of the "Freethinkers" in their Obelisk. I believe those known as "Freethinkers" are on the "Hitlist".I think that there is a big conpiracy waiting to unfold and i believe that this "Queen Antonia" is keeping secrets from Qeynosians and in some ways the Overlord Is not as bad as he is made out to be.Sure he treats his people like [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] and has brutal ways, but i think that he is straightup and has his share of secrets but none like this.Queen Antonia is more deceptive and cunning. (Think of Freethinkers as the Illuminati of Norrath)Performing Demonic rituals and feeding souls to the Obelisk in a hopless effort to gain ultimate power.Queen Antonia is a higher ranking "Freethinker".Also, why do Freethinkers need to come ot secret lodges to be safe?Who is after them if not the NIGHTBLOODSS!!!!PS: I know I am contradicting myself alot and posting a bunch of farfetched jibberish. and I know no game would go so far as to make lore this deep for a game, just feedingmy conspiracy monster

Message Edited by xbraindeadx on 05-23-2006 07:54 PM

Message Edited by xbraindeadx on 05-23-2006 07:58 PM

-Laughs- See what happens when you start reading the lore forums too much? Very fun post!

xbraindeadx wrote:

and Kyle Bayle, who is, well, dead in the catacombs.

I don't think I've read anywhere about Kyle being a Freethinker, nor him being dead in the Catacombs.

Although it is very possible he was not friendly to Qeynos, taking after his great, great Uncle Kane!

MAYBE he's the one who stole the Claymore from Qeynos Castle in the first place! Maybe he was in league with the Circle of Unseen Hands (old Qeynos rogue guild, and the Hands Fippy is refering too in the Freethinkers lodge), and they were all delivering the blade to Freeport when they were set upon by Droags!!

Of course, this is all speculation...

Or IS IT!?!?!

I think the OLS lore only mentons a Bayle family member but no name.

Kyle Bale is the one the obelisk mentions. However, he is not going to be causing trouble any time soon where he is locked up.
