<DIV>Hi. I'm known as Adicea in-game, & I would like to know things about the Teir'Dal. I mean like not the fact that they were created from the 1st Koada'Dal king & queen, like their society... traditions. That stuff.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanx.</DIV> <DIV>-Adi</DIV>

well they are evil... i can tell ya that myself i hate the lil purple colored freaks of nature, but what  i do know is that they are a very harsh culture i remember after making a shadowknight in EQ1 being yelled at and hissed at by every fricken npc i talked to! really i dont know much about the purple's culture its below me as a Koada'Dal =P<div></div>

<P>Actualy in EQ1 the dark elves where all blue, was no purple option back then.</P> <P>As far as being considered evil, well thats a matter of perspective, Many dont consider them selves evil, They just do what they think they need to to survive or get ahead in life as all races seem to.</P>

<DIV>I know one thing for sure about the Dark Elven society. They've only gotten where they are as a race by many centuries of litterally and figuratively backstabbing each other when they saw the opportunity.</DIV>

I think the biggest mystery that revolved around the Dark Elves was.... if you were to choke a Dark Elf, just exactly what color would they turn?

<P>I deal with too many Drizzt wanna-be's and people who play the Teir'Dal 'stupid-evil' to not take things like that seriously. Sorry.  <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  It is not my fault that Wizard's of the Coast have tainted the image of Dark elves for years.</P> <P>One of the laws in our guild, in fact, emphisises how Teir'Dal are not Drow, though the use of the language for RP is okay.</P>

<DIV>The term Drow isnt part of Norrath in any way and I prefer to not hear the language personaly.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was suprised when recently in game Blood Wine was added as thats more of a vampire type thing but labeled as Teir Dal.</DIV>

<DIV>Some may be "tied in" as you mentioned, But not all are. Not even most are. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dark elves have ties to Velius to but you dont see any one walking around with Teir Dal Snow Cones with Hatered sprinkled on top now do we?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I only said I myself was suprised, not that there where no ties.</DIV>

<DIV>wait, when were the dark elves involved with Velious? I don't remember anything about them getting involved. I remember the story of origin about the Coldain Dwarves, and the Giants as well, but the Dark Elves? Care to enlighten us?</DIV>

<P>Sure i'll enlighten ya, the day the expansion released my dark elf warrior made it all the way across iceclad, through the orcish wastes and across great divide and discovered Tizmak Cave 3 on my server :smileyhappy: Then I killed a few of em. </P> <P>Thats just one example of a teir dal tie to it lol.</P>

Yeah im sure the Teir Dal vampires in Bloodlines sit around sipping wine when no one is in there, probably have tea parties to.  :smileyhappy:

<DIV>Bloodwine could symbolize many things it doesnt just mean their vampires it could show the fact that their so evil they drink blood or stated earlier that it could be a fruit that makes it blood red and if i remember correctly you could get the dark elf guards in eq1 drunk off of red wine</DIV>

<P>Then the obvious question is what red fruits in Norrath could the dark elves had used? :smileyhappy:</P> <P>I think EQ1 used red wine not blood wine but I may be wrong, also gave a faction if turned in to a guy at the library I believe. </P>
