World lore in obelisk?

It said that these people should be protected because they contain greaty knowledge of the shattered lands or norrath. I went to enchanted lands and went inside the building on the docks, there was an NPC inside, Biddy Bobick i think his name was, talked to him, I forget what he said, but he said something like shattered lands nor monsters can keep me out of business. I then went off to rivervale and found a woman in the Fools gold building named Liddy Bobick, didnt spend much time on her cause her name was not Fiddy and she didnt mention him, so where is Fiddy along with all the other people on the list and what do they have to say about the world?</DIV>

<P>Ahh good old Fiddy, I recall many a tale from my grandfather about the adventures of he and Fiddy.  </P> <P>Our families were quite close and shared many adventures with Fiddy and a few of his fellow adventurers.  Captivated by the campfire tales of the elders in my family I headed into the shattered lands to find traces of this brave soul.  I spent many years scouring the lands with little success and despite a seemingly never ending supply of the finest ale in all the land I started to feel that my quest was nearing a disappointing end.  Just as I began to feel that I had turned every last stone and came up short I found a bird in the land of Ro that set me on an adventure that would shed new light and even more questions about our dear friend Fiddy.... and a few others.</P>

fiddy and kyle are both part of the whole storylines of dof and kos, the "prismatic" series, they are 2 very important people and there names are on that list? i wonder what exactly that means, and who are all the other people ther?<div></div>

There's a quest given by the ruling family member of the Clothspinners in Antonica to retrieve it.<BR>

The quest to retrieve the item is in EQ2 from the lord of the Keep of the Ardent Needle - not the dorf with the smelly boots.<div></div>

I've done that quest.  I remember having trouble getting past the Caltorsis to get the needle.  But I've searched Ogaming's quest database and I don't see it listed.  I also don't see the needle location marked on any of the online maps.  If I recall correctly the quest npc is upstairs (in the Keep of the Ardent Needle), so maybe this is just an npc that most don't visit.

Opposing faction, in other words, if you killed him, your faction with the Shadowed Men would go up.  The Shadowed Men were enemies of the Temple of Ro.  Killing them would make you faction with the Temple's residents go up, and doing certain quests (like giving cutthroat rings to <A href="http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=3328" target=_blank>Ortallius</A>, no doubt the founder of the Ortallians in the Pillar's of Flame, kudos on that little development, btw, SOE) would make your faction with the Shadowed Men go down, while raising your faction with The Temple of Ro.

Well i wonder if there is something in game more explaining about why the names are listed in obelisk and what the plot of the shadowed men is, or if we have to wait 50 expansions down the road and a stupid live event. <div></div>
