A while ago I was wandering below Qeynos in I beleive is the crypt of betrayal. While down there I noticed a gathering of bloodsabers around one particular body. It looked as if they were either trying to raise that person from the dead or something else. Does anyone know what they are doing or whom they are doing this to? I had a theory that it was Kane Bayle, but I don't have anything to back it up.

yeah. that's Kane Bayle right there. There's no quests or NPC's or anything that mention that the bloodsabers are trying to ressurect Kane Bayle. Kinda sad too, because I'd enjoy doing a quest to give me a reason to stop them.

We didn't put them there, meaning the Bayles or the Maglus' family. They were built up by someone else, possibly them Bloodsabers that started hanging around down here. At first, I thought they were mighty nice and I really enjoyed dusting them. Then I happened to one day look at the fires these statues are facing, and what do you know? There's a skull in them! That sure gave me a turn!

I wouldn't be so quick to wish for the return of Kane Bayle. He may be pretty upset and might show up with new friends he made on the "other side." But Kane is not the only Bayle that was a stain on the family lineage. There are others that history does not record.

Maybe if Kane returned his friends would be his departed family members of such reputation.

And it's not that I would wish for his return, I would love to stop the bloodsabers via a quest to bring him back. As for what friends he's made on the other side, it would provide an interesting link to the NIghtbloods.

Message Edited by Phylok on 05-16-2006 05:28 PM

If you are a Qeynosian, you should at least know who has been ruling over your city all these ages. For the most part, they are all Bayles. Here is a quick breakdown of the rulers:

Antonius Bayle (the first) - The Great Unifier

Antonius Bayle II - The Great Defender

Antonius Bayle III - The Great Diplomat

Antonius Bayle IV - The Great Avenger

Anton and Antea - The Twin Monarchs

Antonius Bayle V - The Great Sage

Antonius Bayle VI - The Great Healer

Antonius Bayle the VII - The Great Dreamer

The Circle of Five

Antonia Bayle (Queen)

Maybe I will tell you a bit about them in the future.

It was set 500 years before EQ1 and in one quest you must be a "Diplomatic Emissary" of qeynos delivering documents to the Erudin diplomat.
we need a family tree! there are more bayles then thatones that did not rule, but certinly would be nice to be included

If EQOA was 500 years prior to EQ1, and EQ2 is 500 years ahead, then you are saying that only 10 rulers have presided over a 1000 year history, meaning the average reign is 100 years. That is just unbelievable for a human city unless Qeynos rulers have been using magic to extend their lives beyond that of the typical human.
