<DIV>With the advent of the gods' return upon us, what state can we expect the planes to be in? We know that the Plane of Sky has been hemorrhaging into Norrath recently, and that the remaining planes will remain sealed. But what state are those sealed planes currently in, and does this have anything to do with the gods' decision to return?</DIV><p>Message Edited by Astralmage on <span class=date_text>05-16-2006</span> <span class=time_text>10:18 AM</span>

Good question. I wonder if we will ever find out, as much of the theme of EQ is the Gods having a strict desire never to allow mortals into their planes again. Yet they did distance themselves only to begin showing a stronger influence which has been growing. Plane of Sky essentally collapsed without Veeshan's influence as most of the lore states. The Overrealm, as well as the Shimmering Citidel, the dragons Siyamek and Barakah, as well as the djinn of Ro seem to be the only remnant of that plane. Many of the Thulians around in Cazic Thule as well as the Overealm, still revere Cazic, despite many of them following or allowing Venekor to reside and lord over his temple in the Feerrott. During the Claymore quest line, a Thulian in the sanctum of the scaleborn refers to their lord's realm "Modinthule" which we can safely assume is the Plane of Fear. They also mention the old Fear Gate, likely the one in Feerrott that resides in the instances there (Meeting of the Minds, Dithra's Lair etc). Thule may play an important role soon, as his minions seem to be big players on Norrath and the Overrealm. Now, Veeshan had always been distant from her own plane, but it seemed that after the Shattering it got worse, when all the gods retracted their more direct influence in the affairs of Norrath. Veeshan was never exactly chummy with the gods of Norrath, not even the Gods of elemental influence, so it does make one wonder if it was just a conditional, generalized thing. So it is very likely the planes of the other gods are at least weakened, though we have not seen the kind of chaos that resulted from the Plane of Sky being weakened so much.Though one wonders, did Kerafyrm perhaps go after Veeshan? He was around we know before the Shattering, he was the cause of Luclin's destruction. His power is such that it could rival Veeshan's and he does have a hatred for her and much of his own kind. The Cult of the Awakened knows he has gone, but knows he will be back, perhaps it was he that caused the Plane of Sky to rupture like it did?<div></div>

<DIV>On that note of Modinthule, there are quests in the Feerrott that involve hunting down Modinite fugitives, NPC's who are trying to escape the embrace of Cazic Thule. I want to say that "Modinthule" is what the natives refer to as The Feerrott, the Temple of Cazic Thule, and.. well.. just the entire area surrounding the portal to the Plane of Fear.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I can't confirm if it is or not though, but thats the impression I was given.</DIV>

I wonder if some of the story about those escapees is a slight continuation of the Temple of Cazic Thule revamp, where the original lizards were booted out for the higher levelled mobs with a stronger connection to the Plane of Fear.As for the planes, doesn't the Tome of Destiny state that some of the Demiplanes were already collapsing when the Gods withdrew their influence? So Sky wasn't the only plane that was hurting from all the adventurers moving through and clearing them out.   <div></div>
