Both the Qeynos and Freeport side exile quests are broken on Test at the moment, but soon as they fix them we should start being able to get some direct info. I'm hoping on being able to make a couple of my Qeynos only class characters full time residents.

<P>So, after the next expansion comes out there will be FIVE cities, (three of which would be starting cities depending on race/class choices)?</P> <P>1. Freeport [starting city]</P> <P>2. Qeynos [starting city]</P> <P>3. Kelethin [starting city]</P> <P>4. Maj 'Dul</P> <P>5. Haven</P>

I get the impresion that it will be a cave in ts or nek, or an island. I also think it will provide very basic services- mendor, q and f fences, perhaps a consignment system of some form, and maybe some way to tradeskill. Judgeing by the name, I'm expecting it to be a pirate themed area- folks who are welcome in neither qeynos or freeport (excepting the seafuries).<div></div>

<DIV>Hmm. I guess I read the patch notes wrong. I thought they were going to placed under a condition called haven, in which betrayers would still live in Freeport or Qeynos, but wouldn't be given those benefits like the writs and housing and stuff untill they became full-fledged citizens again.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>oh well. I wonder if there will be any quests in this new area? Part of me hopes not because I enjoy doing quests but I wouldn't give up being a monk just for a chance to do them.</DIV>

<DIV>Now that you have completed the betrayal you wont lose any progress you have made already. This is only for new betrayals.</DIV>

I dont know about any Lore tied into the Haven but from playing EQ1 it does sort of remind me of Shadowhaven. I sometimes had to go there to buy spells for my DE Necro. Here is a small little diddy about the zone from EQ1."<b>SHADOW HAVEN: A city made up of a network of massive caverns dug out of the moon. The Defenders of the Haven provide security for the city's surrounding areas, including The Bazaar, The Nexus, and parts of Netherbian Lair and Echo Caverns. Three factions run the guild halls found in the southwestern part of the city, while vendors have set up shops in all areas. Shandling's Roost, the Luclin casino, is one of the city's more popular attractions."</b><div></div>

I wonder if people on the "Kill 1000" part of the BBC HQ will be able to go there?

What else would "underground" look like. :p</div>

ShadowHaven was on Luclin, true, but THIS Haven may be modeled along similar lines, which would be a good thing, I think.

The way I read it, the idea is to make it somewhere exiles can probably buy provisions and meet up to probably help each other...I don't believe its designed to be a convenient place for people of all races / classes to go and hang out

<DIV>Hopefully the zone will be patched to Test today - we finally managed to finish the quest lines (Which are much better than the old ones, IMO) but it turned out that they forgot to patch the zone files over to us so everything crashed when you tried to zone to Haven.</DIV>

No, but you have to deliberately take actions which are obviously counter to the interests of your existin city. I miss the leaders, but think the new quests are much more effective overall at creating the impression of having crossed the line and being exiled.

<P>In the middle of betraying right now, and, though I realise this isn't the propper place, and I'm sure others have written similar posts elsewhere, this and the quest section are the only places I looks, so thought it might be similar with others =)</P> <P>Although I miss seeing Lucan and Antonia, these have a much better set up. You aren't tricked into getting on the badside of your city, you make concious action to sabotage it! Once you are caught, you wake up in Haven, which IS very similar to the caves in Splitpaw Adv pack. Haven has a bank, Tradeskill stations, spell vendors, a mender, a fence, and a guild registrar. It is connected to Antonica, Commonlands, Nektulos, and Thundering Steppes. In order to gain faction with the city you wish to join (be it getting back in the one you left, or getting in the opposing city) you have to do the sabotage quests. The difficulty of the sabotage quest increases the amount of faction you get from doing it. +500 for ones in Ant/CL, +1000 for ones in the Districts, and +2000 for the ones in the city proper, each quest also gives you negative faction in the opposing city, so that you can't build faction with both cities. ALL spells go to App 1, including creature mastery spells, and the spells you got to make Master II you get to pick once a tier. They don't go to App 1 right after you are exiled, so I'm guessing they will turn when I gain favor with one of the cities.</P> <P>The lore of Haven is that it was a place made by people who didn't want to live under the contraints of either city, so they made a Haven for themselves, and now they help others who outside the favor of the other cities. They are sort of Ronin in a way, who have made their own place to live. Unfortunately, in order for this place to exist, it would have to be very, very, very deep underground under the ocean, for it to bridge the zones it does so easily. The zone entrances for TS and Nek are right next to eachother in Haven, haven't gone to see where they come out, yet. Hope this helps =)</P>
