I just finished up a run through the Vaults of El'Arad.  There are some very interesting things going on that maybe someone can confirm or shed more light on.The first floor is inhabited by what upon first glance appear to be Erudites.   As you progress further along you encounter a teleporter of sorts which changes your appearance into one of the playable races of Norath.  You can go through this portal as many times as you like until you find one you like best.As you progress upwards you find both Droag and Erudites.  Now these may only be Droag wearing an illusion of an Erudite.I found a painting on the floor of Halas along with other current paintings of zones we come to know in our Norath.  This all leads me to believe that the Droag are planning an invasion and are working to infiltrate our society using this "playable race" illusion.  Could Halas be their invasion point?  Or could they already be here among us?There are other strange workings/experiments being conducted as well.  The use of Droag eggs seems to be a primary component.  One egg even looked as if it had turned to stone.Any thoughts?<div></div>

The Erudites are Erudites. The Droags are not intelligent enough to control the teleportion devices in the Vault. As for an invasion, that's the plan of the Awakened, to destroy Norrath, and they've enlisted the help of the Erudites in the Vault of El'Arad to get them the ability to get anywhere in Norrath instantly. The Vaul of El'Arad holds the key to teleportation, well how to get anywhere in Norrath fast? By teleporting of course.

<DIV>What I wanna know is why the heck the Quellithulians are significantly more powerful than the strongest giant on Norrath! Dang!</DIV>

<div>It's not just Halas, look at the paintings on the wall and you'll find old pictures of lots of locations from EQ1.The Quellithulians are the Erudites still living on Odus if I remember correctly after they consolidated Paineel and Erudin and did their transformation number. The player character Erudites are those that happened to be away from Odus during the rending. They have mastered teleportation technology to the amount that they're able to transport directly back to Odus from the Overrealm (there's a quest in Barren Sky where this happens). They're definitely really Erudites. They seem to have formed some weird alliance with Vyemm's Doomwing Legion to do experiments, on what I'm not entirely sure.</div>

<P>The Erudites are indeed Erudites. The vault was established as a place for the servants of the powerful mage El'Arad to conduct experiments and store artifacts of arcane power. Of course, the Awakened had a reason for striking this bargain with El'Arad, and they never make such agreements without a price.</P> <P>The droag watch over the Erudites to ensure that certain... conditions are met.</P>

<P>If Odus becomes an expansion after Echoes of Faydwer, I expect some talking panda bears. If the Quellithulians can create those ugly, yet strangely cool as heck abominations, surely they can make a few talking pandas.<BR></P><p>Message Edited by The-Fourm-Pirate on <span class=date_text>05-01-2006</span> <span class=time_text>07:39 PM</span>

Kerra Isle. The Hole. Paineel. Erudin. The Warrens. Stonebrunt. And some giant fortress in the middle of Toxxulia. In the part on the first floor where you kill all the people and the teleporter unlocks, in the alcoves on the side there's a pair of teleporters you can use to go back and forth with no apparent function. Well, the function is that it changes your appearance <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>
