Sorry if I spelled some of that wrong but what is the differance between the two? Plain and simple that is all I wanted to know. Not to up on all the EQ1 stuff.

The Kerrans in EQ2 have more roundish faces and thier nose and jaw doesn't stick out like these guys do. They're all ticked off and won't stop whining and crying over it either.

But if not for the Vah Shir, the EQ2 Kerrans would still be the super-scrawny fishing race that they are.

Kerra and Vah Shir started as the same race. During a civil war between "good" Erudites and "evil" Erudites, a powerful magical blast, which created "The Hole" on Odus, propelled a tribe of Kerra to the moon Luclin.

The Kerra on the moon took the name Vah Shir after a strong male leader (whose name eludes me), and became a patriarchal society that began to develop its own culture. The Kerra remaining on Norrath remained a matriarchal society, which I understand was due to the fact the females were physically larger than the males. However, the stresses of life on the moon changed the physical stature of the Vah Shir. Males became much larger there, which must have aided the adaptation of the patriarchy.

When the portals between Norrath and Luclin opened, adventuring Vah Shir returned to Norrath. Upon the explosion of Luclin and the deactivation of the portals, the Vah Shir on Norrath began to mingle with the original Kerra. The results of which are the Kerra of current day Kerra in Everquest 2. Kerra males have become larger, though not as large as the Vah Shir. Culturally, they are still a spiritual race (which was true of both Kerra and Vah Shir), but the patriarchy/matriarchy question is currently moot while both races take refuge in the cities of Qeynos and Freeport.

Eat [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] Cusa, its not whining or crying, its just our attempt at getting a straight [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] answer why the race was so dramaticaly changed in the first place. How would you feel if your "monk" class was suddenly changed to Friar and you all looked short and had to run around wearing brown robes. Its not our fault pissants like you cant understand why we're a bit bitter.

Thanks for the info guys I love the lore but sometimes it is just easier to ask than to dig. I had no idea that people felt so strongly about this issue of the differance between the two. Thanks again all.

The Vah Shir and Kerran mixed together, and thus they are what they are. If you don't like that answer, then you should have applied and gotten the job in the game design or lore departments :smileywink:
