Shadowed Men: The Truth hidden in the Shadows (A theory on the little-understood Shadowed Men)

<div><p><font color="#ffff00">My friends, little is known of the shadowed men, and so, I am here to reveal my theories to you on them. These ideas are all based on assumption and personal opinion so I entitle you to your own opinions...</font></p><p><font color="#66ff00"><strong>1) Makeup</strong></font>: The shadowed men don't really seem too different from a normal humanoid being. If you see a shadowed man, you are probobly paying attention to the rift its coming out of. Pay attention to the BODY and HEAD of the shadowed man the next time you see one.</p><p>For starters, the head seems to an odd looking, spiked, slightly enlongated (compared to a human head) apparatus comparable to the heads of Earth's dinosaurs. Their headplates look alike and are probobly used for the same thing: Communication. On that note, the dinosaurs I speak of used a soundwave type of communication. These soundwaves were amplified by the headplate and recieved by them as well (well Im not sure how exactly it works but hey, Im doin my best!). This type of communication is seemingly similar to the "transferrance language" of the Shadowed men (which to my knowledge is a type of soundwave telepathy). Uncanny? You bet'cha :smileyvery-happy:</p><p><font color="#ff0000">Head's Main Purpose: Mana Storage, Soundwaves, and Communication</font></p><p>The Body is little known, but is probobly similar to your natural alien. I imagine the shadowed man's claws as their primary attack (considering how the shadowed men are probobly a predatory spieces) and these claws are for rending flesh and bone. I also imagine the shadowed man with powerful leg muscles, and an otherwise human bodily makeup. I'd have drawn a picture but the scanner is broken :smileysad:</p><p><strong><font color="#66ff00">2) Teleportation to Norrath and the rift</font></strong>:You've all seen the Shadowed Men in norrath but do any of you know how they're getting here? Allow me to fill the blanks...</p><p>I have devised a theory that the shadowed men are using their immense store of mana to amplify the soundwaves used for communication to bombard the planar rift in order to pass through it. Since we can all relate speed with teleportation and time travel, I have imagined the shadowed men with powerful leg muscles from continuous sprinting.</p><p>The Shadowed men would enter a "Sprinting State" like the early game spell. That would consume about 1/2 their mana. Another 1/4 is to amplify the alredy powerful soundwaves produced to bombard the planar rift ((their speed also increases the speed of the sound, since it's already moving.)) With the portal now open, the Shadowed Men pour the remaining 1/4 of their mana into maintaining anatomical during the inter-planar transfer (aka: the teleport from the Plane of the Shadowed Man to Norrath). Since it would normally take 1/2 its mana to maintain form, the shadowed man's lower body is left in the rift, for later retrival after the Shadowed man regains its mana. This is done because only the head can produce the mana, so the head is preserved. This is also why you can only see 1/2 of the shadowed man's body, and why they are still in their portals when you see them.</p><p>In short: <font color="#ff0000">Speed(Mana) + Sound(Mana) = Teleportation - 1/2 of Body</font></p><p><font color="#66ff00"><strong>3) Uses of inter-planar teleportation and shadowed man sociality</strong></font>: Now that we're past the math of Teleportation, we can wonder WHY they're here and WHAT they're doing.</p><p><font color="#66ff00">WHY</font>: Because A- They are predatorial beings who need food (maybe). B- Because they have run out of Planetary resources and are colonizing Norrath (possibly, they are old anyways...). C- Because they seek refuge from a similar tragedy as the Shattering (likley, their dimmension could be a mirror of Norrath). D- To destroy all humans :smileymad: (why not? lol)</p><p><font color="#66ff00">WHAT</font>: A- They can no longer sustain life in their plane (survival). B- They couldn't teleport to the right plane and ended up in norrath (accident). C- They are escaping something or other (escape). D- They are waging war on humankind (Warfare)</p><p> </p><p><font color="#ffff00">And so you have my theories on the shadowed men. Grats **hands troodon311 a cookie**</p><p>On a side note, yes the dinosaurs DID make sounds with these chambers (if memory serves correctly, and if not this species then a similar one) <font color="#ff0000">or</font> amplify sounds to aid in their communication, while I dont actually know if they recieved sounds WITH them. However my idea on the shadowed men was that they also used these tubes for recieving sounds. Again, their language is called "Transferrence" which probobly refers to the "Transfer" of different sounds through various means aka: soundwaves or possibly even telepathy. I also went with the headplate idea because, stupidly enough :smileywink:, Im assuming the shadowed men DONT HAVE EARS. If anyone sees a pair of ears on the shadowed men PLEASE TELL ME!!!</p><p>Although another Idea is that they transmit sounds through the tubes and then absorb the vibrations of that sound in their "imaginably rubbery skin" upon which they interpret them....kindof like echo-location but with communication ((crazy maybe but hey, just an idea for those of you who dont like the head idea))</p>
