Wonder if we are ever going to find the ruins or remains of these once legendary places.

I used to love going to each one and battling it out with the terrors with in their walls.

Would be nice to see then "uncovered" as time passes.

We'll never find out untill Feydwere and Kunark are rediscovered as future expansion. As the above poster just said, we'll see in a few years.

I guess we will never see Befallen again, [since they stole it and plopped it down in Antonica as Stormhold!]

I really regret that, as my character's role-play stories have always centered around the Knights of Truth and the Sisters of the Rose of Erollisi Marr.

I doubt I'll ever see the Sister's Isle again either.

/sighs

I dunno where you people are getting a few years from. For all you know the next expansion could be Faydwer, Kunark, or Mars if they want.

Mary the Prophetess wrote:

I doubt I'll ever see the Sister's Isle again either.

Don't be so sure. Queen Antonia was born there, and Vhalen recently gave us some impressive information about the background of Sister Isle a few weeks back. I wouldn't count such an important island out just yet.

This was the great fortress of Ardathium, which is now called Befallen. Within it's walls were storerooms, workshops, armories, treasuries, and most importantly, a library.

Such a library the world had never seen. Long before Erud led his followers to Odus, before ever there was a Great Library built upon the Plane of Knowledge, Ardathium and it's Lycaeum were among the very first wonders established during the Age of Monuments. The wealth and knowledge of the ancient world were gathered within it's gleaming halls.

With the imminent fall of Takish 'Hiz, a number of important documents from that great city were removed to Ardathium for safety, adding the wisdom and knowledge of the ancient Elvish capital to the the tomes and volumes already there. But alas, this was to no avail; as the great fortress fell at very nearly the same time as the Elvish city. So much was lost in the flames, and buried by the sands; yet much still remained within the ruins as well.

Over the years--for centuries--such documents as could be salvaged from the ruins of Befallen were placed in the safe keeping of the Order's new home within the Temple of Marr in Freeport and in the Paladin's Guild House located close-by within the Temple precincts.

With the establishment of a sanctuary of the Sisters in the Ocean of Tears astride the main trade route between Antonica and Feydwer, the Sisterhood became very wealthy, and very powerful. They were no longer a small devout and cloistered religious order, but had become international financeers, diplomats, and power brokers.

The presence of the Order at Tearfall on The Sister's Isle, brought them into close contact and association with the Noble Houses of Felwithe, and allowed the Sisters to serve as intermediaries between Antonica and Faydwer, thus enabling them to maintain cordial relations with both contintents.

During the Age of Cataclysms yet more archival material came into possession of the Order as the Feydwer was consumed by fire and blood. Most found it's way to the Order's headquarters in Freeport, but much stayed in safe keeping on the Sister's Isle as well.

However, with the supression and expulsion of the Order by the Overlord, most of what they had accumulated over the centuries in Freeport was lost. Only the outposts remained.

The Order was decimated by their betrayal in Freeport, and both the Mother Superior of the Sisterhood, and the Grand Master of the Knights, were arrested, tried, and publically executed; along with much of the heirarchy of the Order. The treasury and all documents and records were siezed and agents of the Order were hunted down and arrested.

What remains of the once powerful Order is now trying to re-establish itself in the Qeynos area. Although their wealth and holdings have largely vanished, their influence remains.

Message Edited by Mary the Prophetess on 03-02-200606:14 PM

At the current rate of expansion at every 6 months, we still have Innothule Swamp and the Straits of Twelve (Rathe Mountains) to rediscover before we finish up Antonica.

After that we'll have to move onto either Feydwere or Odus, and it wouldn't be surprising if Feydwere is broken up into 2 expansions.

THEN, it seems plausible that Kunark would be the next choice, and thats at least 3 expansions right there.

Finally we got Velious, or what remains of it.

Not to mentionTelosia, and any 'missing' EQ Live (or EQoA zones), zones they choose to include, in addition to totally new ones they may see fit to include.

The question is does EQ2 have the subscription rate to sustain it over 2-6 years required to expand it to the breadth of EQ Live? I don't really know, but I suspect maybe not.

No. Taelosia can remain lost for all I care. I never want to see anything relating to that awful Gates of Discord expansion pack.

But since the alien invasion never happened in EQ2's timeline, Taelosia would most likely be a very different place. I for one wouldn't mind seeing it.

Yeah. Just as long as it has absolutely nothing relating to Gates of Discord. Not even those pathetic weakling natives.

Or, they could do the right thing, and make the next expansion fill out the rest of Antonica, then make each expansion an entire continent.
