<div></div><div>The other night a friend and I went exploring deep into Fallen Gate. It is a place that interests me because of the historical link to Neriak and the cursed nature of the place after the traumatic events involving the collapse of the dark elf empire.</div><div> </div><div>At the very base of Fallen Gate in the Bull Pit is an area called the Vault of the Fallen that requires an access quest to enter. We gathered the required components to enter the Vault of the Fallen and once inside solved another puzzle involving slaying skeletal dragoons to enter the Sanctum of Bone.</div><div> </div><div>In the Sanctum of Bone was a worshiped boss that had a name like a Tier Dal but looked like a group of 4 or 5 floating skulls with spinal columns hanging down. This boss seemed to summon skeltons and possess great magic. It was a mighty battle but we slew it. It seems like this boss was some remnant of Neriak or the cause behind the curse that has overtaken Fallen Gate.</div><div> </div><div>Does anyone know of the lore behind the floating skull boss at the bottom of Fallen Gate? Sorry for being so vague, at the time I was terrified of dying and didn't have time to remember the details like the name of the boss and some discussions prior to entering the Sanctum.</div><div> </div><div>The encounter just intrigued me and I would love any further information about this beast and it's relationship to Fallen Gate and perhaps Neriak.</div><p>Message Edited by Mogthol on <span class="date_text">02-27-2006</span><span class="time_text">02:09 PM</span></p>

<div></div><div>A bit more digging around has hinted that the boss is called Tseralith. There also seems to be an indication that Tseralith was a necromancer who raised the dead upon the order of the Thexian queen to defend Neriak.</div><div> </div><div>Does anyone know any more about this, or how Tseralith came to resemble the beast he is now? What is his link is to modern day Fallen Gate? Is he still raising an undead Thexian army at the bequest of a long dead queen?</div><p>Message Edited by Mogthol on <span class="date_text">02-27-2006</span><span class="time_text">03:28 PM</span></p>

By all acounts this attack was a very successful endevour for the little guys and many songs are now sung of the bravery shown by the Halflings that day. Unfortunately for them, the Dark Elves got pretty upset that they were caught off guard and were being pushed back by the ferocity of......the Halflings. Thus enraged Queen Christanos Thex (I really hope that is her name, but I can't remember the exact spelling and name) sent down the order to the most powerful Necromancer in her elite cadre of casters trained in the arts of Necromancy, The Fallen to deal with the intruding Hafllings. So, he did. However, in his rage he went a bit too far. He certainly dealt with the invading Halflings, but at the same time he killed every living being in the entire Foriegn Quater and they were immedeately raised from the dead. The effects of his spell went further than this though, the raw power of the spell that was unleased cursed the very rock into which the Quater was carved. The Dark Elves had no choice except to seal up the First Gate and the entrance to Neriak into the forrest. No one is sure if they acted quickly enough to save the other two Gates and sections of Neriak b/c they havn't been able to get past the First Gate. It's my opinion that at least those in the Third Gate were porbably able to escape harm. They were the Royalty and Elite of Dark Elven society, the most powerful Dark Elves on Norrath dwelt within the Third Gate and most likely found thier way to safety. Who knows but that they might have trecked further into the Underfoot of which Neriak was in the very upper sections of and eventually found thier way out, or other residences and means to survive.</span><div></div>

<div></div>Close, but no 'H' and an "I". <i>Queen Cristianos Thex</i> ( and <i>King Naythox Thex. </i>)

<div></div><p>Excellent bit of info Teddy. You have filled in a fair few gaps. Obviously the curse the necromancer Tseralith released in his rage turned him into the multi-floating skull monster he is today.</p><p>All this makes me salivate for a Neriak expansion/adventure pack. I noticed them digging at the blocked off stairway near the first gate, here's hoping they break through.</p>

Neriaks legions were attacking the fier and koada dal at the time of these halflings charge. Neriak was pretty empty during this time due to the war over seas. The halflings were brave enough to take advantage of an empty city. Just find it kinda funny these " brave " little guys still got what was coming to em =)

<div>Yeah its true. There's a series of quests that result in 4 books you can place in your house that tell of how the Halflings took advantage of the fact that over half of Neriak's army was on Feydwere, fighting the Wood Elves, High Elves, Dwarves, and Gnomes at the time.</div>
