If you really want to know more about that dark elf character, create a freeport-based, "evil" character, level them to about 17, and then take them through the Freeport-to-Qeynos Betrayal quest.  She plays a small but very important role in it.And I can't TELL about the dark elf!  That would be... well... Isn't that <a target="_blank" href="http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=730">Opal Darkbriar</a>?<span><blockquote><hr>According to the "Realms of Norrath: Freeport", from the EQ Role-playing Game, Opal Darkbriar was one of the original members of the Divine Rage (now known as the Dismal Rage).  This group was sent out by decree of the king and queen of Neriak, with a mission to undermine the authority of Aataltaal, a high elf that was rebuilding Freeport (or "Landing" as it was called at the time) after the fall of the Combine Empire. Keeping mostly to the tunnels under the city, the Divine Rage plotted, until one night they got together with the orcs and attacked Aataltaal and his army, expecting to win. However, the Academy of Arcane Science joined up with Aataltaal and together they defeated the orcs and the Rage, and Opal Darkbriar was the only Divine Rage leader that escaped. From that night on, the group was known as the Dismal Rage, and the fate of Aataltall is unknown (though some guess that he may have taken dark elf form and may have followed them back to Neriak in order to infiltrate their city). Since it was the Academy of Arcane Science that caused her downfall, Opal Darkbriar kept a close eye on them. Back before necromancers were expelled from the Academy of Arcane Science, she made up a name and a story that she was essentially a dark elf traitor and human sympathizer, and she infiltrated the Academy. he eventually seduced Savean Moonsun, a powerful high elven wizard of the Academy, and using her dark magics managed to steal his soul.  She locked his spirit inside the shard and used the vessel to harness his magic.  With this artifact, Opal is able to hide her true self and appear as a stunningly beautiful high elf, which enables her to blend in easily with the unsuspecting arcanists of the Arcane Science guild.  As the high elf Sapphire Moonshadow, she rose through the ranks of the Academy quickly, and became the mistress of the School of Wizards.  Given that she is also the Teir'Dal Opal Dark Briar, the undisputed mistress of the Church of the Firstborn, she is currently the most powerful force in Ner'Wielle, and perhaps among the most powerful of all Antonica.Opal is sure that the power she gathers will someday lead her to an empire of her own.  She will rule as queen, or perhaps even as goddess.  Her only concern is a slight confusion that sometimes sets in when she has taken her high elf form for more than a few days at a time.  At such times, she finds herself thinking more like an actual high elf, and less like the Teir'Dal schemer she is.  The attentions of Warlord Cain Darkmoore particularly seem to trigger this anomaly....<hr></blockquote></span><div></div>

<div></div>It is Tayil. She has been quite busy as of late, looking into a matter of great importance to the Overlord. She works very closely with a secret organization known as the Freeport emissaries. The Freeport emissaries a sort of... 'secret police force' of the Overlord's. It is rare that you will encounter the emissaries. Word from the dark part of the taverns is that the emissaries have been seen in Freeport West lately, waiting for something or someone. I am sure Tayil is involved if the emissaries are involved.

Used the little dead hand cage stun and conjured up some skeletal hands to grab the guy in armor at first.  I think the undead trolls were hers too.  Any self respecting dark elf becomes a necromancer, its the way of thier culture.  Btw any one notice it took 3 qeynosians to take on one freeportian?
