<div></div><p>Actually, that sea would be called the Straits of Twelve</p><p>Nestled by the tempest of the Seafury in the north and the Blackwater to the south, this sea can be found. It is filled with jagged spires of rock with no accessible land. These are the tips of the shattered peaks of the once great Rathe Mountains. What land exists is rocky and barren of vegetation. Most spires are too steep to offer level ground on which to set foot upon. One great danger of this sea is its shallow jagged basin. Much of the once mountainous region sits below the tides and many a ship have had their hulls gutted by unseen daggers of stone stretched towards the surface, but never breaking the plane. The grandest sight in this sea is the twelve peaks of the Rathe Mountains that jut high above the waves. Their odd and almost lifelike appearance recounts the mythical tale of these twelve mountains actually being titanic beings of earth and rock defeated ages ago by a legendary Ogre champion.</p>

Who gets to write all this stuff up? You guys pay a fantasy novelist to make up the history and lore of EQ? or you gather around a table, roll a few dice and randomly generate it as a group?=).<div></div>

<div>Vhalen keeps this library adjacent to his desk that has a multitude of large dusty tomes stacked on shelves carved out of something that looks like bone.  On occasion he cracks one of these old books open to tell tales of the ancient ages, but many times he just recites them from memory as if the master script is kept within the tome of his mind.  I think when he opens the book it is just for the effect... and he likes to see us all cough as the dust billows up into the air in swirling puffs...</div>
