the soe profile has everything you really need to know, she as new as we are, the old antonia family was killed in the shattering and she took charge. nothing more i guess. Lucan is 500+ years old, thats the differance.

She's 18 years old and she's technically a Half Elf, but only 1/28th, so she looks completely human and acknowledges herself as one.

I need a girl-friend badly :smileysad: :smileywink: . Anyways I did read rumors about Anotnia and her past but don't remember much. Indeed I think it said she was 1/28th half elf but not 100% sure of that and indeed she is in her 20's be it late 20's I don't know. She came to power at an early age and everyone was astounded by her abilities in leadership and in ruling. But thats about the best information I can give so far until I dig a bit deeper.

Leadership? More likely everyone was too busy staring...'yes dear, whatever you say *tails off into drooling*'. Add a bit of talent with magic (but please note that she needs a wand of sorts to focus her spells, which neither Lucan nor the DE lady are hampered by) some extremely powerful and capable underlings and a bit of careful historical revision and bingo, there you have Antonica the great leader. As for 1/28th half elf....well, parents are 1/2, grandparents 1/4, great-gps 1/8th, g-g-gps 1/16th,etc...so unless there's something very screwy going on with the genetics, let's just say you have to start going back a lot of generations to even approximate 1/28th half-elf.

Here's a bit:

Antonia Bayle is a particularly special case when it comes to the lineage of the House of Bayle. Antonia was born with the name Shirrana and was born far from the Kingdom of Qeynos on an isle in the Ocean of Tears. The isle was named the Isle of Erollisi and her people lived in a village called Tearfall comprised of only female warriors, The Sisterhood of Erollisi.

Tearfall was fortunate to survive the Age of Cataclysms unscathed. It was when the seas calmed just enough to allow passage to and form the Shattered Lands that her dying mothers last words were to seek out the Kingdom of Qeynos and take with her a scroll that has been passed down to her from mother to daughter for ages. There she would present the scroll to the House of Bayle. So with a small contingent of warriors Shirrana began her voyage to the Kingdom of Qeynos.

I think some of you may recall the Sisterhood of Erollisi. There is more to her story, but that may give a bit more insight about the queen of Qeynos. On a side not, Qeynosians have started a bad habit of calling her Queen Antonia Bayle. The title king or queen was never meant to be used by Qeynosian rulers, but this seems to be changing in the Age of Destiny.

Its only appropriate though, since this is a time of crisis for a leader, and Qeynos has never really had a female ruler before. Nothing outside of what you Developers know (that us players do not) anyway...

Do you guys make up or create LORE like 6 months prior to releasing content or whats the deal behind that?

I mean as you mentioned about Antonia Bayle, approximately how long has SOE known about her Lore prior to this date??? I guess I'm just wondering is it based off some Novel/Book that has already been published and the game derives from the Novel or..........do you understand what I'm asking?? lol

While looking through old documents on Erud's Crossing, I came across my little writeup on the Chain of Tears, the islands in OOT. There I found this bit about Antonia's home. Hope you like it:

The Isle of Erollisi

This is the largest of the islands and also contains the highest mountain peak compared to the other islands. Unlike other peaks, this one is too steep to climb and even has ice forming at the highest point. It truly towers over all in the region. A stream flows and falls from the frozen peak and runs into the sea. Hidden behind the trees and waterfall is the hidden entrance to the Sisterhood village called Tearfall. A dock is built along the Southwest corner of the island for frequent stops by sailing vessels. Goods from the village of Tearfall are sold by the Sisterhood in a tiny outpost. Dugout rentals are also available for long and difficult trips to other islands that the ships do not anchor near. All creatures on this island are docile and protected by the Sisterhood of Erollisi.

Tearfall

Tearfall is the private sanctum of the Sisterhood of Erollisi. It is accessed via a hidden pass located behind a waterfall. The pass opens up into a crater like valley. The village is where the sisters train and hold contests. At first, only elvenkind were allowed in this sect formerly from the Greater Faydark Feir’Dal Empire. Now females from around the globe who have heard of this sect seek out this place and dare to challenge the sisters in combat for a chance to become one with them. Men are not welcome within this sanctum, other than those invited or the dwarven forge masters sworn to the service of the sisters. The village is small but contains all facilities needed by the sisters including a shrine to the great goddess of passion, Erollisi. A beautiful and towering statue has been carved into the face one of the inner cliffs by the dwarven forge masters.

I hate to disappoint all you Norrathian suitors/ assassins, but there is not a real Gladys in the Age of Destiny. So unless you have Bayle blood... no crown no kingdom.

The title king or queen was never meant to be used by Qeynosian rulers, but this seems to be changing in the Age of Destiny.

killed me many of them, belts sold for lots

Sure, he's a bit more flamboyant and he's a bit more paranoid about traitors, but they're both still autocrats who rule through propaganda. I know for a fact that our lovely Queen is just as dirty as the Overlord: I used to be her personal assassin.(For those who are new to the game, there used to be quests in order to progress to level 10 and level 20. The level 10 Predator quest and the level 20 Ranger quest were basically assassinations that had supposedly been ordered directly by the Queen. The second one was particularly egregious: "Go to Windstalker Village and kill Riasom Hanagan." What ever happened to justice or trial by jury? Shouldn't the Qeynos Guard be sent to arrest this guy if he's an enemy agent? Why am I, a young Ranger, being sent to snuff him instead? And for that matter, when did political dissent become punishable by death in Qeynos?)So the Qeynosian government may talk a good game, but I see through their smoke and mirrors routine. At least Freeport is honest about what it is ;^)
