<div>Over on the Fan Art board, somebody from the KoS beta test posted <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=screen&message.id=18994" target="_blank">these</a> screens. The one I've copied and pasted down below shows a statue that looks remarkably like Barakah.</div><div> </div><div><img src="http://www.randomhost.org/tt/monkaviaktentangle6.jpg"></div><div> </div><div>And for comparison, here's a picture of Barakah I found, also on the Fan Art board.</div><div> </div><div><img src="http://home.comcast.net/%7Exzero87/barakah_01.jpg"></div><div> </div><div>Could this mean that the twin dragons, Barakah and Siyamak, were worshipped as something akin to demigods after Veeshan's departure from the Plane of Sky?</div>

<div></div>think it might be an over reach to say that a statute made of gold, as statutes are want to be made of, in a very typical dragonlike pose, is indicative of a specific gold dragon.

<div>Yeah the statue doesn't follow Barakah's *EXACT* details. I think it's just a generic dragon statue, and Barakah happens to be one of the more simple, generic dragon designs in the game.</div>

<div></div>She sure is pretty, though, huh?  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  Barakah and Siyamak are my favorite dragons.

<div></div>The Wurm god was never in the PoS.  Maybe they were already there and had to leave when the PoS was destroyed..

<div></div><p>Heh... art did a great job on the KoS dragons.  I happen to like these two because I had a hand in naming them, so that makes them "my" dragons.</p><p>It saddens me whenever one of y'all goes out to kill them.  <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

And to think, I had them pegged as the villains of the DoF expansion when it first came out.

<div></div><hr>I happen to like these two because I had a hand in naming them, so that makes them "my" dragons.<hr>So was it intentional that one has an Arabic name and the other a Persian name?

It is fantasy worlds so putting oriental names is a fashion <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<div>Interesting, Cusashorn, because Barakah is also an Arabic word meaning divine grace or divine blessing, or more specifically, Allah's blessing. It is also a female name and there's a character Barakah who was involved in the early life of Muhammed and the rise of Islam.</div><div> </div><div>Siyamak was a character in the Persian epic 'Shanameh' and is also a male Persian name, meaning dark-eyed man.  </div>
