<div>If Norrath was earth, and the stuff in EQ was part of real life. (And i know a few probibly wish it was) Which god would you follow and why?</div><div> </div><div>Which class would you be? And who where would you live. To start the ball rolling, I'd be a paladin, in service to Quellious. The reason for this is because as a paladin in her service, i would fight to bring peace in the time of strife and war that Norrath is facing, to bring an end to the Overlord, and to insure the safety of qeynos.</div>

<div>probly be one of the good ones, maybe one a good guardian would, after all no one want to go to hell, but then again there are ways you could keep ur self alive. but maybe you could be a necromancer and at the same time worship a good god and be spared an after life of suffering, hmmmm hard question lol.</div>

<div>Zebuxoruk the Ungod, 'cause he's the only god that actually wants mortals to suceed and genuinely improve their own lives. This is the guy who risked his freedom to try and teach mortals the secrets of godhood. You gotta respect him for that.</div>

Knowing what I know (and what my character believes), I'd probably be agnostic. I have a hard time thinking highly of anyone who bickers as much as the Norrathian pantheon does.Like my character, I would probably honor the Ro family, with Erollisi in there as well.

<div></div>My character Cercsij worships the Marr Twins. However, if I was actually my character (or someone else) in a real Norrath I would have to either go agnostic or worship Erolissi Marr. I would stay at home safe in Qeynos with a 5 bedroom house with my wife and kids. I would be an avid artisan, make a decent living doing so, get old and die. No dangerous adventuring for me if I was really in Norrath! I'm a coward! :smileytongue:But ya, either agnostic or Erolissi Marr.

I havent become very involved in the Everquest lore myself yes, but i'm pretty sure i wouldn't worship any god. Possibly believe in them and their power, but I would only bow to something more corporeal. As for class.. Berserker. Sure, i play a Shadowknight now, but that would be a little difficult without drawing my powers from the Pantheon (:<div></div>

Quellious. I like the philosophy behind this god. The followers of Quellious "are not strict pacifists, though, and will fight to defend themselves and their loved ones. The peace they seek is an inner one. They wish to know all there is to know about themselves and the world around them. They wish to know as much as they can, and help others learn as well so they can reach a state of enlightenment. They are deep thinkers, and prefer to travel throughout the world, hoping to find a light or helpful hint to what they are supposed to do."That philosophy pretty much sums up my Everquest 2 life style. Always trying to help someone (doing the countless quests), always trying to improve myself (gain levels), always trying to discover everything I can (exploring, finding things before others, learning languages, reading books, etc...). lol, always in a state of trying to find a helpful hint about what I am suppose to do (thank you ogaming.com)<div></div>

Karana, there's few things in life I've seen as impressive as a poweful storm. Race/class wise i'd likely be a Dwarf, either a Monk, Swashbuckler, or Templar/Cleric.

Since its cold and flu season, I'd probably worship Bertoxxulous... but then, Valentine's Day is coming, so I'd burn some incense for Erolisi Marr.<div></div>

Unless you truely enjoy suffering from a flu, wouldn't you rather worship Rodcet Nife, God of Health and Healing instead?

<div></div>If choosing Zebuxoruk as a diety in these "if you <em>had</em> to choose a diety to worship" threads is somewhat of a cheat seeing as he's sort of a god of agnostics, I suppose I'd have to choose Saryrn instead (my Teir'Dal Beserker on Antonia Bayle worships Saryrn, BTW). Get stuck in a pick up group full of d00ds long enough, and I bet anyone would feel like player killing them all in the most painful way possible.<p>Message Edited by Astralmage on <span class="date_text">02-08-2006</span><span class="time_text">01:31 PM</span></p>

The same goes for colds, chicken pox, disentary and (depending on which internal sect you belong to) bed-head.</span></div>

I mean you wont nesecarily have a 6000000000000k dmg afterlife if you worship an evil god, I mean heck, whose to say the evil gods are wrong and the good ones are evil? I mean if you worship an evil god you might go to a heaven where the good are punished for sparing others an inteded suffering.....who knows....</p><p>who cares Im a necro and cazic's awesome....so is zebuxoruk....god thats a cool name :smileyvery-happy:</p>

Definitely Quellious, for the reasons many others have stated.I also really dig the Rathe Council (hah!) and Karana. Prexus is pretty rad, too.One of my first EQ characters was a human cleric of Bertoxxulous (my current EQ2 inquisitor is a descendent, go go Bloodsabers!), and enjoyed roleplaying the rationale behind worshipping a god of evil, let alone disease. The thing to remember is that all these gods MIGHT have some stupid followers who fall for that, "I'll give you cool stuff if you worship me -- sucker!" line, but every single one of them also has individuals who are incredibly intelligent and have good reasons for furthering their god's agenda. This is one aspect of EQLive that I miss... being able to fit religion right into your actual character. Obviously there's complete freedom for characters to roleplay the worship of whichever gods they want, in EQ2, but I liked the feeling in EQLive that you'd really entered into the service of a deity; almost like joining a guild. And while EQLive certainly didn't implement all that much in terms of one's religion having a gameplay effect (beyond imbued items), there was a neat sense of belonging and uniqueness. My human cleric of Bertoxxulous carried his Candle of the Bloodsabers around with him his whole career, it was his most prized possession.Granted, it was a little unrealistic that one couldn't, through some quest or another, dedicate themselves to a certain deity after being agnostic, or changing their faith or whatever. But on the other hand, committing to a deity in a world like Norrath -- where the gods actually influence things directly -- should not be a whimsical thing. It's like applying for a job in the government because you really like the current administration and want to be associated with it, then never coming to work.<div></div>

<div></div>Veeshan.Although I know she (was female, right? It's been a long time....) wasn't a god, technically, she was still worshippable (possible made-up word) in original EQ. I always thought there was something just that little bit cooler about following a dragon as opposed to an actual deity. Is she still around, by the way? Perhaps being a dragon meant that she stuck around instead of buggering of with them godly types.Edit: forgot to include a reason<div></div><p>Message Edited by Greyowl on <span class="date_text">03-09-2006</span><span class="time_text">02:21 PM</span></p>
