<DIV>I am looking for info on the Ashen Ordre. I resentely started a monk that wants to bring the ashen order back to freeport. Ofcourse to do this she would have to somehow overthrow the Overlord but that is something she will have to figure out on her own. But yea any info on the Ashen order would help me out witn my rp alot.</DIV>

Why overthrow the Overlord? Just get his approval to recreate the Order as a guild of Bruisers. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Well for her she couldent do that she just can't stand how the overlord runs things. That is why she currently lives in Qeynos. She knows that the overlord is evil and it would be agenst her moral compus to work with him in any way.

You know, from a roleplaying point of view, a true monk of the Ashen Order would *NEVER* think or attempt to overthrow the current ruling government of a city. <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Ashen Order worships Quellious, Goddess of Peace and Tranquility.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What that means is, they're pacifists who never raises a fist unless it's in self defense or in the best interests of protecting others.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>From a Dungeons and Dragons standpoint, they're Neutral-Good and Orderly.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Cusashorn on <span class=date_text>11-08-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:55 PM</span>

Thats kinda the point. She is not a monk of the ashen order all she knows of them are from hre guardian (parrent) that raised her telling her of stories of what freeport used to be. (she will eventualy find this out that her plans are not what a real monk would do but that will be later in her career when she makes it to dof) She thanks its a travisty that the real freeport is nothing like the stories she was told and wants to make it like them. Its a flaw i know but that is something she will need to learn eventualy.

<P>Understand this.</P> <P>You have two factions of the Ashen Order, The Ashen Order and the Ashen Disciples.  Ashen Order holds to the old ways and the Disciples promote a more militant agenda to re-taking freeport or whatever it is they actually want, never got a good answer...their your typical rebels without a cause.  </P> <P>The Order make a show about holding to the ways of tranquility but the things they ask you do....aint #$(*ing Tranquil.  They are hypocrites.  Plain and simple.  They go through the motions but they dont really believe in Tranquility.  Example, killing off scorps and cats.  Each is in their own area and while aggro they dont bother anyone that dont bother them first.  That aint the Quellious way.  It takes more to be tranquil then sitting on a rug staring at the sunset.  </P> <P>Disciples ....the disciples are just jerks.  They try to be more bruiserish then monks but their still Posers.  Im still contemplateing whether I even want to finish their quest line now that I know all I get out of it is a funny name that will remain with all my other funny names, unused.  Ebon Dragon and 1 gold will get you a cup of weak Majdul creamed coffee on my server.</P> <P>Make no mistake, They're all gonna start tripping and falling on my fist as soon as I can get a party going willing to take the faction loss.  Likely even if I dont have a party I figure I can take out a few of them.</P> <P>I dont like monks.  Went into Elder Grove one time to see the female monk hotties, walked into the Silent Fist and saw that Doofus standing in the shaft of sunlight, pretty much made me sick.  I left a mess in the corner and went to find a few guards to help me out of the city, I wanted to leave so fast.</P>

<DIV>Plenty of Clusters of Fish, there.  No violence needed to get them.  You just cant admit the Hypocrasy can you?  No violence needed to gather from the shrubs.  The food angle isnt gonna work.  Dont try to justify it by claiming survival....unless your gonna go all the way and take the survival of the fittest approach....wheres that again in the Quellious Creed?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>Heres a question.  They make Puab Closk out to be the pinnacle of Ashen Order, Fine, I got no problem with that.  I liked Puab much better then Lu Sun.  But would Puab be proud of the Ashen Order monks if he saw them now?</DIV></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>To claim The Ashen Order is the same as it was is guillible.  But that was the whole problem with the Pacifistic Tranquility approach.  There always comes a time when there is no other option then to smack somebody down.  And its hard to reconcile that with a code.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bruisers aint got no code.  We dont even have a creed.  Hell, we dont even have an organization.    We're the only ones who are truely free!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But you all enjoy your little rock gardens and shafts of light.</DIV>
