We can make a nice web design and everything i have alo tof ideas just no content on my site rigth now, it hasnt been used for anything except e-mail. I always wanted to do this for EQ 1 and would love to do it for EQ 2. I havee 3 GB of webserver space and 25 gb of bandwidth and can upgrade if it become popular. Let me know. Thax -- no need to type them out. Just turn on your log (/log), read the books, and open up the log text file in your logs directory (within the EQ2 folder). Voila!

I originally planned on this being a 'book' format -- layed out as such with a beginning, an end, appedices, and an index. I like the idea of it being a reference piece that can sit beside you, you can print out, or load it into your PDA and read on the train to work, while relaxing in the bath (we all still stop playing to bathe, right?), sitting on the toilet, or any other time that one cannot be actually playing the game.2. I just don't have time to work on a website... The nature of my job, and the tools available to me at work doesn't allow me to easily work on web pages and html, etc. Sadly, at work is when I plan on doing all this becasue when I am at home, I'd rather be playing <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />That said, I have no problem with sending anyone who wants to do the work the entire collection in any format that you need if you want to transcribe it to an html format. I just ask that you have a little patience for me to prepare a more polished version. (1 - 2 more weeks probably). In that time I plan (besides actual history and lore updates) to have a fully functional intereactive menu within the PDF, and a detailed navigation pane, and an index. I also planned on includeing some art (maps, and such) but I am trying to be mindful of the final file size. Remember also, that PDFs are fully searchable, so if you are looking for something particular you are able to find it easily, as with the one PDF file, you will have the entire collection.The only real drawback that I see to the PDF format is updates...Anyway, anyone interested, PM me, and we can discuss it further.I should have an update to the file late tonight or tommorow, BTW. If so that will be a major undertaking that will make the tome compilation seem like a day in the park. Plus there is probably more NPC lore than Tome Lore. I wouls suggest a seperate book for this as otherwise people will have to wait for a 7,000 page book to download. Not that i'm saying that you shouldn't do it as I for one would be one of the first to download it. The all start with "Testimony of...".The kind of thing I am wanting to include are things such as the wood-elf NPC who has the very detailed acount of the War of the Fay, or the troll in Big Bend who talks about the destruction of the Innothule swamp and the burning of the froglocks.Sadly, a few of these dialogues (not all) happen only once per character, when you first talk to the NPC, and unless you have your log always on, you are going to miss some.I am going to be picky about these NPC dialogues. Basically, i will include it if information on a certain area/event cannot be found elsewhere (see the current Stormhold section -- as soon as I get something a little more concrete for that area -assuming there is such a thing-, I will probably pull the Crushed Libraian dialogue, as it is vague at best).If the size of this gets unruly, then yes, I will start to publish them as volumes <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Shaboni -- The first post should have working links. <P>Only thing I would like to see added to this great resource is if the books are Placeable, Inventory only, or Zone art/Quest arcs.</P> <P> </P> <P>It helps to know if you can ever get the book for your house or if its just some story you come accross in your travels.</P>

Theses are all from books, or texts in the game, with the exception of a few entries (which I am going to remove in the next update) that are from NPC conversation. The majority are house placable, but I will think of a way to make the distinction. RL has had me very very busy the last few months, but hopefully I will get in an update soon. <div></div>
