<DIV>My spies in Qeynos report that there are some Broken Skull pirates holed up in a lighthouse outside of Qyenos. If they have survived the shattering, then perhaps the Grozmok stone has as well. Any word on the Grozmok stone or what became of the rest of the Broken Skull Trolls?</DIV>

<DIV>The Troll is the whipping boy of SOE. They will always be treated unfairly. They will never get the stone back. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

Then the whole issue about the Dark Elves wanting the stone to keep control over the Grobb clan trolls AND also the Eyes of Cazic-Thule pillar being long-absent, not allowing future Troll SKs lore-wise</P>

only one problem with your bit of lore Niuro, it wasnt Trakanon's death that caused the Troll wars, Trakanon meerly choose to ignore them. In fact it was Trakanon that helped to end the wars when the Troll Nalikor ventured into Trakanons hold, only to be gifted with the blade of Mithaniel Marr himself, Truthbringer. He was the second of Trakanons Hero's and it was He that united the Trolls, led them to Antonica and formed a truce with the Ogres. So no, the Trolls have not always gotten the short end of the stick. It was one among them that arose as a Paladin of Marr and brought Truthbringer back into the world once more, preserved them from extinction and allowed them to get Grubb in the first place.Truthbringer was of course sealed within a mystical Ice barrior of sorts and later.____________________________Egil Skalagrimson24 Paladin, Oasis

<DIV>All that stuff with trakanon and the trolls is FAN FICTION. Good fan fic, but still fan fic. EQ2 is not bound by EQ1's lore, and sure as heck isn't bound by its fan fic.</DIV>

<DIV>Please don't start spreading the Trakanon's Prophecy around here, its merely fan fiction.</DIV>

Aren't the Orcs outside Freeport called the Broken Skull Orcs. Maybe a little off topic, but the connection would be interesting.<p>Message Edited by Templarz on <span class=date_text>12-14-2004</span> <span class=time_text>09:30 AM</span>

That was in EQ1 though, dunno about EQ2.

<DIV>Trolls did have something to do with Trakanon - it's in lore books in game and also in the "history of the Trolls" book, they mention Kunark. Cazic Thule did create them but I think they were originally in Swamp of No Hope.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And to whoever said it, EQ1 lore does roll over into EQ2</DIV>

<DIV>I stopped playing EQ1 just before the 3rd expansion was released, but this is from the original realease...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>"On the surface, away from Elves and Giants, Bristlebane made the Halflings, short and stubby folk, agile and with a propensity to meddle and even pilfer at times. Cazic-Thule, Lord of Fear, was drawn to the swamps and jungles of Norrath and there created the green skinned Trolls and reptilian Lizard Men. And Rallos Zek returned to the surface, pleased with his sanction to create even more peoples for his army. He made then the Ogres, massive, unmovable beings of questionable intelligence, and the Orcs, bred for battle and singled-minded in their desire for conquest."</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Trolls are the creation of Cazic, but it does not specifiy Innothule swamp as their creation place, just the swamps of Norrath. I suppose that could mean there are a variety of different troll clans that sprang up independant of each-other at the same moment of creation?</DIV>

<DIV> <DIV>Aye, i believe that 3rd party fan lore brought around the Innoruk connection to the troll's creation.  He DID have some to do with their many internal wars, but not their creation.  The Teir'Dal (dark elves) are the only thing he can claim to have "made", even they are someone else's creation (Tunare).  He was just jellous of his utter lack of creative talent so he tried to destroy everyone else's creations.  :smileytongue:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Really loved PWNin him in EQ, it was great!</DIV></DIV>
