When the mobs are feared by this ability, will they bring friends back? I've not dealt much with fear in this game, but in other games Fear was often a non-option because the mobs would run away in terror, only to return bringing back even more mobs. That isn't the case with this is it? If I use this spell in a dungeon crawling with mobs, it wouldn't be a death sentance for our group would it?I played a Mystic a bit and their version of this ability has a short duration Mez component insteadd of Fear. I'd hope to be able to use the Defiler version as freely as I used the Mystic version when things got a little hairy...<div></div>

If the mobs are social and aggro, they will bring friends back if they go into social aggro range when they reengage. At least, they have done this to me a couple of times.<div></div>

Yes they will, if they are social. This wasn't always the case, but it's made using fear for CC a little more risky in a dungeon (Aside from the usual getting a mob stuck in the floor/wall/ceiling/rock/etc. problem). I can't remember exactly which LU it was that caused this, but I find I use my Fear spells a LOT less now in a group setting, and the Chant line ONLY when I get aggro and need to ditch it.

<DIV>I don't use this spell in PvE unless i relay have to...but its great in PvP on griff stations you can fear the Q off the side <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

there is a slew of situations where this spell is usefull you just have to know when to use it social aggro ect but dont rule this spell out its usefull for gaining a second to heal up with a ton of adds or lose aggro<div></div>
