This mod allows you to click to cure, heal, ward and rez and a few other little features all by clicking. Each player has a rez/save/ward/heal(quick)/heal(large) button that you can single click and it will cast the spell. The file is avaliable from eq2interface along with a view of the group menu with this mod. Note that the image of the UI is from the templar version, the defiler version has 2 less buttons but they look and function the same.http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=4299I created a similar mod for my templar sometime ago but now that my defiler is 70 I figured I'd do the same. Hope someone else finds it useful.

I downloaded this and I am going to play about with it today, I had a quick look at it last night and I must say...woah! Nice work - I wish I was clever enough to do stuff like this!

I was already using the click cures with another UI, but this is much much prettier! :p

Couple of questions though, I see you have eerie avenger on the UI, would it be possible to add the insta-ward too maybe - I tend to use both if a group member gets in trouble?

Possibly also the addition of the other combat res too?

Is there a way to change the text that spams when you cast the res? Not important, but I just wondered?

Other than that - really nice work and thanks - I will play about with it today!

It kinda is strange looking the way it's done so some people might be better off leaving it the way it is but if you're feeling brave you can search for the text and see how it's done. Not really a easy way that I know of to make the gsay text a option you can change on the fly unfortunately.

It has all cures, a combat res, a save (ie eerie avenger), our single target ward, and both single target heals.

I used it while raiding tonight and still found myself using my keys, except when casting the odd cure, but I will retrain myself, this thing is fun!

Seems to be working good. I'll see if I can update the eq2interfaces site this week. I'll also try and remember to get a screenshot of the defiler version for the site as well.I actually do have a player version (as well as for the templar) but I removed the background and the click to cure icons are much larger. This icon difference is because of the way the UI stuff works, otherwise I'd just attach the player to the top of the group and it's be all one happy family. I've not included it because it's much easier to just keep one thing updated.I am working on adding some of these features to the raid window at this time (click to ward, heal, big-heal) and once I get that fleshed out and working the way I want to I might just add in the player section also. I've been able to click to heal and ward but I'm not happy with how the targeting works and trying to find a way to make it so I never get the players pet, if you happen to double click the raid-person you get their pet, this won't happen with my group UI mod.

Message Edited by Celestian_GC on 10-10-2006 08:53 PM

It doesn't look exactly the same but the way it works is. I can't make the window the same size as the group menu because of how the UI handles the debuff (nox/arcane/etc) icons for a player versus how it does them for a group. The player ones are much larger. The player/self menu UI file is eq2ui_mainhud_player.xml. When I am done tweaking the updated defiler group menu I'll include what I use for that.

Not sure what you mean regarding the size of the effect icons. You can just set any size for them in the XML. I have them the same size for self and group members in ProfitUI if you want to take a look.Btw don't use /target_self like the current release of ProfitUI does (you may not do anyway, didn't check) since you end up targeting DogDog when chaining cures on yourself (target_self twice works like F1 twice). Best use /target yourname as I will in the next release (target_none target_self works as well but breaks the target_previous functionality I have).Good luck with the mod!
Message Edited by Roggobh on 10-12-2006 10:39 AM

Very cool idea for those who use their mouse to click during raids.Personally, I use my keyboard almost exclusively and this would take me longer to cure something or throw up an instant ward or erie.Though, I really do like the idea.

You can target any player by typing /target XXX, with XXX being the player's name. For your own name, you'll have to grab the name from /GameData.Self.Name (or some window element that has it), but I'm sure Celestian is familiar with those details.

I do use something similar for groupmates that is "target_none" "target_group_member #" where the # is the number of the group member. The problem with the raid menu is there is no target_raid_group_member # # command so I am trying to make it work with target sPlayerName.Doing things this way allows me to spam a ward or heal button and not get the pet. During laggy situations it's worked best for me.
edit: also the icon size wasn't the issue, it's the style that is used in the hard coded "effect#" that is the problem. I had to create my own sorta IconStyle for it which is what I managed to figure out using the Profit group menu.
Message Edited by Celestian_GC on 10-12-2006 07:56 PM

Defiler Group UI, updated:http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=4367

I've split the 2 UIs so that the Templars got their own and Defilers have theirs. Did this mainly cause I play my defiler more than my Templar so the defiler one will be more updated with features than Templar for now.The new group UI includes the player (you) including your group in the group display.Let me know how it works out for you. I am still working on a raid gui that does the same thing the group UI does but not got all the kinks worked out. Once I do I will update. Here is the readme:Version v09.16.200670efiler Group UIThis group UI mod is specificially for level 70 Defiler at the moment. In future I might have it work with other levels but for now if you want that you'll need to edit the file to work with your spell names. This group UI performs the click to cure (arcane, truama, poison and elemental) as well as click to heal, reactive/ward, focus(for templar) and so on.INSTALL:UI Files included in this zip.eq2ui_mainhud_groupmembers.xml (group menu for defiler)Unzip the contents into your custom UI directory. Do this so you also have the included image files that are required.Once you have done that you should be able to login to EQ2 and see the new group UI once you have group members. To activate the icons simply press them and it will cast that effect on that player. If the player has a poison or any other effect it will show an icon to the left or right of their name and how many effects of that type they are infected with. Click that icon and it will cast the cure for it. Due to the way the casting is performed it will NOT queue the spells. The reason for this is to make sure that the player is targeted during heavy activity seasons I target them using a target command. You shouldn't ever have a situation where you click the spell icon and it not change your target. If you do let me know but I'm not sure what else I can do to ensure it works. From left to right the spell icons for Defiler the group menu are:Resurrect, Spirit Avenger, Insta-Ward, Single Ward, Large Cast-Heal, Small Cast-HealYou can see the names of them by mousing over the icons. Each player has a F-Key associated with them and is displayed. YOU are F1, group member 1 is F2, group member 2 is F3 and so on. This is for those people like me that can't seem to remember. If you wish to follow someone in your group simply click the F-Key icon for that player. When a member joins or drops from group a join/leave group sound will be heard (you will hear that sound when you first load up EQ2 as well, due to how the game loads UI files).

Having played with the updated one over the weekend I have some feedback, I hope it helps...

The new player window does not cancel out your current player window, so you end up with 2 of them.

The defiler player window does not show dots as curable or uncurable (when they show as faded symbols) They always show as curable on me, the rest of the group works fine.

The defiler window when you click on it will not target yourself as the current player window does.

The new window cannot be resized horizontaly, you get no problems doing it vertically, but stretching it horizontaly it leaves the player window on top, which although is not a problem in itself it leaves lots of unused space thats not useable (see picture - this also shows the additional player window left from old UI).

I wonder whether it would be easier to scrap the player window as part of the defiler group window and just make a seperate player window, replacing the current one?

I hope this doesn't sound too critical, because I really do love it, and hope this all helps

The real player window is a seperate xml file. My group UI does not modify it nor remove it. That is intentional. I don't know if it's possible but I guess you could try and "hide" the player window. The dots on the player window in the group UI, as far as I can discern, cannot be setup to be "faded" for non-curables. There is no way to tell (from the UI side) if it's curable or not.I'll check into the targeting issue and resize adjustments with the player window.Another thing I am trying to do is get it so when you mouse over the player 1 window is shows the same information you get when you mouse over the real player menu (your hp/mana/and concentration allocation).

The profitUI group window does in fact show the faded icons when a debuff is uncurable. Just FYI.
