<DIV>I'm coming back to the game after a 6 month break and I'm having a hard time deciding between making a Fury or Defiler.  I'm playing on the PvP server Vox.  For my playstyle I prefer to be a "Jack-of-all-Trades" and my background is a druid in EQ1.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was told that for a PvP server, a Fury would be better because they are offensive and can deal out great damage, but in groups, my role will be to pretty much spam heals/regens.   I did this in EQ1 and not really fond of doing it again for another 70 levels.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I like the defiler and would prefer making one, basically because I can still SoW and res and have all of the other priest utilities that are shared throught the priest classes.  The idea of not being required to spam heals is attractive, but yet since I'm on a PvP server, I'm told they don't have many "big blast" spells and, "From what I heard" wouldn't be as "lethal" as a Fury.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is this true?  Does anyone have any other info they could share to help me make my decision... pls?  =)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>First off, why would you think you wouldnt spam heal as a defiler? or maybe i missread your post.</P> <P>From what i see eq2 pvp is alot about being able to run away from a bad fight and of cause the corrosponding ability of stopping someone who runs away when you are in a good position. We got no roots/snares or the like to stop people so that kinda sux. Im pretty sure a fury has a snare which would be a big plus to them imo.</P> <P>Also defiler heals are slow, 2sec at the fastest with no means of making them faster where a fury has a few heals on 1 sec or 1,5sec so easier to cast before interrupts.</P> <P>Furies have the major drawback imo that theres a gazillion of them on pvp servers already so thats a desition if that bothers you.</P> <P>My semi uneducated oppinion from my sub lvl 30 pvp life :smileywink:</P>

Pack of cheetah is what makes them awesome at getting away from bad situations. From playing a lvl 70 defiler AND fury in soloing, grouping, and raiding. I have to say that a fury would do much better in a pvp environment. Defilers are much better soloer and is a much better healer in a control environment because they are much more efficient than fury and the fact that wards are awesome.
