I would like to get some ideas on how you work with a second healer in an ordinary group. My temptation is to stack single and group wards like normal so that no damage gets through, but this leaves me with low power and the other healer with little to do. What is everyone's approach? Should I cast a single ward, then debuff and ignore damage from that point on (unless it threatens the group)?

Well, imho you'd better focus on debuffs while the MT takes some damage. At the time you sent all your debuffs, the second healer should have already applied either his reactive or regen. Then you can throw your single ward and see the MT go back to full health

This is a common problem among priests.. When you're in a situation where you have 2 healers you will generally find that one of the healers tends to be the dominant one.. or the one who burns all their power to keept he group alive whereas the other is meleeing / nuking etc.. It takes a lot of grouping with another healer to find where you work best together.. and where one can fill in what the other lacks..

You basically have 2 options..

1) Fight harder targets.. ones that are very hard to get by with only one healer.. this will force the 2 healers to work together to keep the group alive and downtime to a minimum..

2) back off.. relax.. and enjoy your self.. be lazy for once, and only cast your healing spells when absolutely necessary.. pretty easy for a Defiler to do as we have a ton of debuffs, and other things we can cast to impact the fight.. not so easy for say a templar, who really doesn't have much in the debuff / nuking depts..

If you are grouping with a reglar 2nd healer.. (ie you have a cleric / druid buddy you group with a lot) then talk to them.. and learn what they are good at and adjust your playstyles together to get the most benefit for the group.. once you get this down, you will be amazed at the situations you can handle, and you'll constantly be looking for harder and harder targets to hit to push both of your limits.. If single group mobs are too easy for you.. take a single group and fight some yellow Epic x 2 encounters for a while to keep you on your toes..

Sit back, use your single target ward and relax. I usually spam all damage stuff i got when theres 2 healers.

Ohh and make sure your tank is in offensive stance at all times, should make for a more fun dual healer group.
