Both Mystics and Defilers have been struggling to get thier issues addressed. Each class on its own is making next to no leeway in getting things acknowledged, addressed, let alone fixed.A number of the issues facing each of our classes are in fact shaman issues not just mystic or defiler issues. As such, I propose that we work on getting a good listing of issues that are effecting both classes. Hopefully then, we will be able to muster enough force to be heard. So, lets get the ball rolling and post any issues that are effecting both classes.Keep the points as concise as possible, and provide links to any relevent discussion posts. And lets please keep any discussion about a particular issue in its thread(s) so this thread can be clean.Once we get everything compiled from the two communities, I'll repost this in the spells and combat board.Similar thread on Mystic Forums

More detailed information on these issues as well as issues specific to only one of the classes:Defiler Issues Compilation thread by BroomhildaMystic Issues Compilation thread by Banditman

Message Edited by Eepop on 04-06-200612:33 PM

Vital Gameplay EffectWards appear to be leaking damage through on to protected players. There doesn't seem to be any noticeable reason for this to be happening, such as a pre-existing DoT or effect. There are reports of this extending to all wards, group and single target.Reports on the issue by mystics>>Word is a fix on this is pending. Lets hope its all fixed and coming soon. Our AA pet's viability is questionable. The pet has next to no HP, and further the pet does not appear to properly receive buffs placed upon him. The buffs show some effects, but not nearly what they should. One must take the strength line in order to obtain aoe immunity for the pet. If not the pet dies easily and must be recast often, disrupting gameplay. Even investing fully into the STR line does not give the pet survivability in most cases as he is highly susceptible to frontal AEs as well as ripostes. Higher quality versions of lower tier with potentially lesser effects overwrite higher tier, lower quality buffs. Runic Talisman for instance has this problem.Wards are not subject to criticals the way Reactives and Regens are. This is a fairly significant handicap as various AA's among various classes increase heal criticals.>>Word is a fix on this is pending. Lets hope its all fixed and coming soon.Minor Gameplay EffectRitualist Aggression does not proc correctly. With a 12% chance to proc, it can be seen to proc on an exceedingly rare basis. Players with less than 12% (4 ranks) into this report never seeing the proc go off at all. Our cures do not seem to scale properly when mentored. We are having a difficult time curing when mentored down.Upgrading our Group Cure spells past Adept 1 does little to no good. The scaling on that line needs to be looked at, probably across all Priest classes. It becomes most problematic as we wait out the last couple levels before an upgrade.Ritual Expertise doesn't scale adequately beyond rank 3. This ability isn't very desireable considering the normal cast, recast, and power requirements on cures are good enough. Even if with 8 points this ability made cures instant cast and instant recast it wouldnt be very appealing to many shamans. The Vultak Tribal Spear does not fulfill the AA requirement for a spear when equipped. In the current scheme of things, many of the AA's revolve around certain items or types of items being equipped. In particular, many of the Shaman AA's require a spear. Unfortunately, this requirement basically precludes a Shaman ever going along that line since the itemization of spears is so horribly weak. Consider adding a spear to both the Prismatic and Godking lines if you insist on keeping these requirements intact. While we agree that these requirements may be good for flavor, it's simply too much loss of functionality to swallow. It's not going to add much flavor if no one uses it right? Aura of Haste and Immunities must be recast after zoning. Please make all AA buffs work identically to avoid confusion.Aura of Haste is only castable out of combat. With the small amount of haste it offers, and how close many are to the haste cap anyway, there really shouldnt be any need to restrict this to out of combat only. If we want to waste our time in combat casting this, let us.With the advent of Tier 7, it has become apparent that there is little desire to improve a number of our debuff lines (slows and DPS reductions) with respect to the things that these lines currently debuff. Please consider adding something more to these lines, perhaps spell skill debuffs, cast timer Slow or even just increased duration on the existing effects. We can understand if, for balance reasons, further improvement of the current effects of these debuffs are problematic, but please give us a positive reason to upgrade to further tiers. The game needs more "Creatures of Shadow". You can hardly take two steps without running into some Undead creature, but I challenge any developer to find a solo / group grind friendly concentration of "Creatures of Shadow" beyond level 50. It may even be so simple as reclassifying certain mobs as "Creatures of Shadow".Cosmetic or Annoying effect Our pet, like Conjuror and Necro pets, can cause the "stuck in combat" bug.Wards do NOT log. Yea, it's important. Something so simple as "Shaman01's Ward on Player01 absorbed xxxx hit points of damage" would be a godsend. This is an ongoing, long term problem that has never been addressed or resolved. We aren't buying the whole "mechanics" thing. "Mechanics" were the reason Wards could "never" take mitigation into account.
Message Edited by Eepop on 04-06-200612:45 PM

Message Edited by Eepop on 04-10-200601:23 PM
