So my defile went from 89 to 67 at M1, tonight i logged in to see if it was fixed and noticed it went down to 65... so I got thinking.. what changed? well.. my equip changed... so going along this idea, i strapped on all my intel gear... and lo and behold, defile jumped up to 75 / tick...Maybe i just didnt notice this before the udpate.. or maybe it was previously not set to vary with intel?ideas?a.<div></div>

<div>The damage of defile was affected by int and dis debuffs before the reduction.  I have M1 Defile, and was able to signficantly increase my damage by boosting my int to 250 and making sure a dirge landed Verlien's, and I cast Caliginous, on the encounter before I cast Defile.  The combination of those two things can still increase Defile's actual damage by > 50%.</div>

I have now tested a bit more, prior to the patch my defile showed 89 dmg regardless of intelRight now my defile shows 82 with 413 intel, im guessing that at intel cap it will be exactly 89. <div></div>

My Defile damage scaled with INT just like all my other spells pre-LU21.  I know this because my INT is horrible and I was specifically experimenting with Defile damage.<div></div>

Yeah, the nerf was unfortunate, but it's still very handy in those limited situations where it's, uh, handy. When I solo I've gotten into the habit of tagging each critter in a group with a DoT to chip them all down more-or-less evenly then let fly with Defile to polish them all off at once.I also have M1 Defile and though it does less damage now than it did before, there are a lot of t7 items to use that have both high WIS and high INT on them. Between M1 Forced Cannibalize and several pieces of in-combat power regen gear, a superhigh WIS isn't as vital as it is for other healer classes... I almost never have power problems, even in long fights. It makes wearing a couple pieces of INT gear not neccessarily a stupid idea. <span>:smileytongue:</span><div></div>
