<div></div><div>Hey guys. Well first off is these have been covered by different posts forgive me. I searched through as many as i could and didnt find it so here goes~</div><div> </div><div><strong><font size="4"><u>Ward</u></font></strong></div><div><font size="1"></font> </div><div><font size="1">I notice of course with KoS there is the beautiful critical healing. Now as a Defiler class i am however worried about this. If we look over the class lines. Templar, Inquis, Fury, Warden have a form of Reactive or Heal over time that can Critical Heal every single Tick.</font></div><div><font size="1"></font> </div><div><font size="1">As Defiler/Mystics and wards how can this be balanced. Can there be a form of Critical Warding where it wards for more dmg. So as it stands right now Defilers are limited to critical heals ONLY on our Main Heals. As all the rest of the heal classes can critical heal on there whole heal line.</font></div><div><strong><font size="4"></font></strong> </div><div><strong><font size="4"><u>Pets</u></font></strong></div><div><font size="1">Looking over the AA line it of course depends on what server you play on and what your play style is. However "most" of the AA abilities require your pet to be up 24/7 and either be attacking the mob or getting hit.</font></div><div><font size="1"></font> </div><div><font size="1">I have not ran parsers on my pets hitpoints. But i definilty know its WAY less than 1k hitpoints (with my buffs on him). This poses the Realllly big issue.</font></div><div><font size="1"></font> </div><div>If our whole AA line requires our pet to be in some form of battle with the mob and it either does Barrage for 2-3k dmg or a DOT for 300 a tick. Our pet dies EVERY battle. I went down the Strength line first for the ability when my pet gets hit he can cast group ward. Only problem is minute pet gets hit he is dead. There is 0 chance for that AA ability to go off.</div><div> </div><div>Ive been talking with alot of the Defilers/Mystics on the server and they all feel the same. Alot are naming there pets. Useless and Nogood etc. We cant keep them alive for 1 battle to even make our AA's worth getting <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Other than that I LOVE Defilers just really wanna see a big change on these 2 things.</div><p>Message Edited by Vildainn on <span class="date_text">03-19-2006</span><span class="time_text">05:00 PM</span></p>
A crit ward would be great. Rarely do i use my single target/group heals unless it is for an HO lol

I have a level 62 necro main to go along with my defiler, so I'm pretty used to casting pets frequently. I have run parse on my pet and it seems to be around 300-500. It's not a lot but I think everything helps. Also the group heal will heal the pet too and I've noticed that if he's close to dying this heal will bring him back up to pretty much 100% health.Coming from playing my necro, I used to catch myself on my defiler going for a pet bar to send him in to attack. Now I'm glad I actually have one to send in.<div></div>

<div></div><p>The last ability in the STR line for Shamen is pet immunity to AE's (except when direct). One of our Mystics does have this ability complete, and I can tell you it's made a huge difference on how long her pet lives. As to the procing ward.. it's a proc when the pet hits, not when they are hit.. and it does proc quite often.. if you're in a raiding situation, I would probably recommend getting the AE immunity ASAP, and then max out the ward ability.. then head down the Wiz line and get the heal crit..</p><p>Speaking of pet names.. here are our 4 shammy's pets..</p><p>DiesalotCorpse[Removed for Content]Roadkill</p><p>:smileyvery-happy:</p>

I went all the way to the end of the str line to get the Avoid AEs buff. It's really helpful because then I can actually use all the other AAs.Only problem is that I had to put so many points into str to get to the end I'm extremely limited to what else I can get. The only other AA in str line that I use is the chance to ward group members with every hit the pet makes even though it's the smallest ward EVER. Well, considering the pet can't hit anything I fight (raiding guild) it's a worthless buff.I have enough points left to go to the hate decrease and the crit heal buff and that's it. I haven't made up my mind if that's exactly what I'm going to do or not but it's hard to decide with the limited number of points I have left.IMO if our AAs are going to be based off a pet, the pet should always be able to avoid AEs no matter what. The fact we have to switch weapons/off-hand items around in order to use different things is difficult enough.

I think critical warding is a "has to be implemented" thing. Right now with low crit chances it's not a great issue yet, but already abilities like the ones that affect heals but not wards are causing some shift in the balance towards heals.Bards get an AP Abilitie that raises the crit chance by 7,5% global, also for heals. About Every 12th heal effect can crit then (rough guess), that's quite noticable and wards not being affected means us being less effective in such groups than a different healer. If the devs notice this problem and go ahead fixing it, they will also have to consider that we use a ward that is proced by the mob on the target it hits - that effect should also be affected by the current crit modifiers on the defiler.

<div></div><p><font size="2"> While you have a solid point on the critical wards....i wouldn't hold my breath on that one at all. With wards being broken & the weakness of our AA tree finally sinking in. Well the devs have alot on their plates as far as Defiler fixes go. Not to mention VoA that still hasn't been addressed.</font></p><p><font size="2"></font> </p><p><font size="2"> ~ Marius Darkchyld ~ 54 Defiler</font></p><p><font size="2"> * Talisman * Nagafen</font></p><p><font size="2"></font> </p>

My pet name is Squishy. Honestly from a raiding view the aa just stink. I decided to go down the agi line to max out heal crits. Yea we dont have many heals, but I do heal allot on raids. Though most of the line is only good for soloing. Doloris<div></div>

<div></div>I've been concerned about the seeming lack of critical wards recently, but just yesterday I got to wondering, since wards heal any amount of protection they have left over when they expire, could we possibly crit there? I haven't seen any crits from the "after heal" but then most of the time I don't see it go off, as I never let the ward fall and stop watching once combat ends. Has anyone been paying attention to the "afterheal"?

<div></div><p>Yup, Character name is Swishy Squishy (thanks to my raiding past) and puppy is called Splatt.</p><p>My biggest concern has always been that 2/3rds of our overarching class, that being a Priest, are healers, the other third being Shammies who rely so heavily on wards due to their power requirements vs a heal's power requirements.</p><p>Honestly though, can you imagine how it will go if they give us a 'critical ward'? It will be the same as our heals where one day we will only be able to heal 900 hps, the next we will be able to heal between 750-900 hps. ie a nerf.</p><p>At this stage I'm personally willing to take the lesser of two evils and keep what we have in the hope that they work on more pressing issues like VoA and wards (and the new graphics for petsky!).</p><p> </p><p>Swishy</p>

<div>My pets name is Decoy.</div><div> </div><div>In all honesty I just think the pet needs more HP's. At least 3 times what it has now. Its still no threat to a real pet class pets which I've seen have over 15k hps (through use of the possesion)</div>

At the start my dogdog was named Iksarpower. But he didn't deserve such strong name. Now he is called Hotdog: You know fried dead meat with some stuff <span>:smileywink:Back to the ward. Doggy procs the ward quite frequently at 4th rank. To my surprise it's an regenerating ward! Sure, isn't a killer AP but we don't have any killer AP at all.</span><div></div>

<div>The ward procs great if im soloign or doing small stuff at rank 4.</div><div>however beign in a raiding guid or doing stuff like halls of fate. That pet will not last but .2 seconds against a mob to even let that proc ward land.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>And on Critical Wards. I dotn see it being nerfed if it happened. it would 100% balance things out</div><div> </div><div>Take for Example a Druid heal over time (i dont have real numbers just a example) it will do normally</div><div> </div><div>Normal- 300 heal every tick for 6 total ticks = 1800 Total in heals</div><div>Critical- 480 heal every tick for 6 total ticks = 2880 Total in heals.</div><div> </div><div>BIG DIFFERENCE!</div><div> </div><div>Would it not make sense for our ward to do the same thing??? Imagine the possibility</div><div> </div><div>Normal Level 68 Ward Malignant Shroud Adept 3 = 1565</div><div>Critical Ward Level 68 Malignant Shroud Adept 3 = 2565</div>

<div></div>I agree completely on critical wards. It's cute to see crit spot heals but I spot heal maybe once in 10 fights and usually on a DPS that foolishly stood in barrage. As far as the pet goes mine used to be named "Pooned" but is now named after me (I play on a PVP server it's usefull to mess up people's targeting). After going up the STR line I actually use my pet. It's extremely rare that he dies (if I pay attention to wich side of the mob he's attacking) and the ward procs while small go off ALOT. The AOE immunity is usefull on raids to some extent and even in groups on certain mobs. With the increase in attack speed coming in LU21 (wich will come someday... maybe..) I can see it being rather usefull. Don't give up hope for the pet yet the AOE immunity at the end of the STR line -is- worth getting.70 Mystic - Nagafen<p>Message Edited by Aesdyn2 on <span class="date_text">03-23-2006</span><span class="time_text">04:28 AM</span></p>
