<div>Ok firstly before anyone suggest's i create a non healer class let me explain .. i love healers i always play healers in every online game i have played, i currently have a Templar who although i love im finding her alittle difficult to solo ... not that she can't solo but a templars famous total lack of DPS makes it ... erm .. painful to say the least.</div><div> </div><div>I know none of the healer class's are great at soloing but i really dont have the heart for anything else. Im looking to create a new charecter who is alittle more solo capable than my healer i dont mind it bieng slow as long as it's not painfully so. I need to be able to solo because im a tradeskiller and currently harvesting with my templar is just insane but more than that i want to be able to do something constructive while i wait LFG right now with my templar if im LFG for long periods soloing just seems like a waste of energy.</div><div> </div><div>How do defilers cope soloing ??? do you feel like it's constructive when you do so or is it like a templar and painfully slow? Also how do you cope with wearing only chainmail do you find solo mobs eat you? </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>

Defilers solo around the same as Templars. Slowly.<div></div>

<div></div><p>From comparing my damage spells with one of our guilds templars damage spells i would say defilers and templars are pretty close to the same dps.</p>

I've never played a templar, but I don't imagine there would be much difference in their soloing abilities. I've soloed quite a bit on my defiler and doing soloable quests is where I got the most xp, not necessary from just killing mobs.Anyway, if you are looking for a good healer class to solo, I'd go fury. I have one that's only level 31, but they are a great combination of DPS and Heals.<div></div>

It could be faster, sure, but it's not THAT slow to me.</span></div>

I find my Defiler (curently 54th) painfully slow to solo, but still better than my 32nd Templar.Duoing with the Defiler, on the other hand, is superb.

I played a level 23 defiler alt. Solo a lot due to restricted play time. Reason of playing is I just wanted to try out a defiler. I played a necromancer and berserker. Here are some of my observations with the defiler class from solo point of view. All defiler damage spells are DOT that works over a period of time. A mixture of short and long duration DOT. Get used to killing mobs slowly. There is no need to rush though the battle with a defiler. You will have enough power to win against 3-4 yellow con 1-2 levels above and remains at full hp. You'll hardly ever use your healing spells. 100% of the time you'll use single target ward. Here is how I gear my defiler for soloing.1. 1h spear + a buckler for extra avoidance and doing some melee damage2. Chain gear that has the most mitigation and wisdom on them. Jewelry mainly wis, agi, int in that order. Hard to find chain gear with high mitigation and wisdom at the same time. Still looking for a replacement for that level 13 newbie starter BP...lolHere is my typical tactic versus group mobs (2 - 3 down arrows),1. Cast Group Ward2. Cast long duration dot on 1st mob and wait for it to get to you3. melee and send doggie on first mob4. move back a bit to position doggie behind mob5. Cast HO starter6. Cast short duration dot on 1st mob to start HO7. Target 2nd mob and cast the long duration dot to finish the HO8. Cast single target ward9 . Repeat 5The idea is to get the long duration dot to land on all the mobs and use the short duration to kill them one by one.For yellow single up arrows mob I'll cast slow and debuff on them. This allow you to land more melee attacks. Also helps your doggie in landing attacks. Generally I find that mitigation gears helps immersely in soloing. Your ward will last a lot longer with better mitigation.<div></div>

It just doesn't seem like there is a lot of good chain armor out there for shamans.</span></div>
